NO??? Really? I really, really HATE Bioware ......

They make great thinks like the skyhold or the romances and than ... you hope they develop it in a DLC and than .... they destroy them. WHY? The people LOVED the skyhold, they just asked for a few more features?

.

I seriously doubt Morrigan has the ability to create an Eluvian from scratch.  I distinctly recall her mentioning "repairing" when questioned.

Well, the Wikia states that she made repairs to the eluvian, and since I don't feel like playing Last Court again I won't question it. I'll concede that she was just making repairs to an eluvian.

EDIT: Actually, the Wikia contradicts itself (as usual). We might both be right actually. One page states she was working on repairs to the eluvian even if turned away. Another page states she was tasked by Celene to rebuild an eluvian. The in-game text is not quoted. It's possible that Morrigan had some remnants of an eluvian and then built around those pieces, similar to how Merrill did perhaps.

Question. If your Inquisitor had a Romance with Cass and she is the Divine; does that mean the Inquisitor hasn't gotten laid for 2 years?

And the roof in the Cullen's room.

He doesn't care about his roof because he's been sleeping in my Inquisitor's bedroom instead. ;)

Yeah, HOPEFULLY some repairs have been finished.  If not, somebody is getting fired.

Rumor has it though we WON'T be back at Skyhold.  Too bad.  Also, suspicious.  Getting drawn away to deal with a committee?  Wonder if they plan on taking the castle while you are away?

That may simply mean that once you leave Skyhold you can't come back. I could be wrong though.

I desperately want to know about Hawke... Something... Anything... I'm really dying to know what happened to them in these 2 years.

Me too. Maybe Varric will explain that he's been adventuring with Hawke during the two years! One can dream, anyway. On a related note, there is no way we wouldn't know what the wardens are up to by now! I'll be very disappointed and confused if this isn't cleared up. Though since the DLC won't have anything to do with that situation, it'll probably be disappointing either way. Oh well.

Question. If your Inquisitor had a Romance with Cass and she is the Divine; does that mean the Inquisitor hasn't gotten laid for 2 years?

That's not really that long. I mean, it is if you're in a relationship, yeah, but not in general. Well, in my opinion  :P  But to answer your question, I think they would still find some time for each other.

He doesn't care about his roof because he's been sleeping in my Inquisitor's bedroom instead. ;)

If only! Ha. His office is the worst place for that scene ever! So you start making out and then... alright, let's climb the ladder!  ^_^  That would sort of ruin the moment. Not to mention the fact that everyone could hear you. Awkward to say the least  Meanwhile, your quarters are warm, private, and underused. But nooooo, let's not go there, that would make too much sense!

We're not going to be running around it.

Any new content or changes would require a ton of work, and they're not going to do that for something that doesn't even matter in the DLC (and doesn't matter afterward, since the epilogue doesn't let you go back).

You think the Divine is forbidden from having sexual relationships much like the Popes of our world? It would be pretty strange if the Inquisitor regularly visited Val Royeaux no?

He'll get laid with someone else i assume , unlike Leliana , Cass believes her vagina belongs to the maker.

Canonically every full priest in the regular chantry swears a vow of celibacy.  It's a consideration when deciding who should be the next Divine.

I wouldn't understand not involving Skyhold in any way:

-One of the bigger complaints involved not having Skyhold be fully fixed up at some point. Even just a scene/visiting of Skyhold completed would be a very nice touch.

-We don't understand the mystery of Skyhold yet, so it is curious to consider that we'll never do so. Why?

-What's that library? I thought devs were hinting at some point about using it? How would we not use it if we never go to Skyhold?

-Why have that pic of what looks like Iron Bull at a Skyhold at night?

-Skyhold keeps sending the impression that its meant to weather an assault. So... where's the assault? Why miss this opportunity, and even outright story necessity (imo)?

I don't get it. I really don't. I don't believe what Bioware says on this until I see the content.

'Reused assets' huh? Maybe. But so far, I'll be thinking about at least visiting a Skyhold at night. It may or may not be actually in my Inquisitor's possession, or even be called Skyhold, but still, I find it hard to believe we'll be doing nothing more with it.

EDIT: Alternatively, Skyhold may have been considered for DLC content, but scrapped. In which case, boo. Big boo. Especially since I do remember those supposed hints about that library.

That's pretty much what I was thinking too. It would be weird if it was reused assets because the new hub looks like Halamshiral, which is a palace, not a castle. Nah, I'm with you. I'll believe it's not in in any way when I don't see it in any way. It would be too jarring to start the game again after 2 years without an expository intro there, which would also be where you'd expect to catch up with your squad and hear the new tavern songs.

Edit: On the other hand, this doesn't sound promising at all. Posted in the twitter thread:

If there is sufficient in-world reason, I'll take it. I don't NEED Skyhold, I just don't understand why it seems to NOT be there.

Here's some ideas:

-Skyhold notes include a lot of 'we can't work on X because Skyhold was shaken by something and/or it is built on something else', akin to Temple of Sacred Ashes seemingly being on top of a Temple of Mythal or somesuch. If so, we could visit the site of Skyhold, but it'll be revealed to really 'be' something else.

-Skyhold could be in scenes but not directly visited.

-The library could be used in a future patch feature. While Trespasser may be the final SP DLC, they did NOT say whether the upcoming patch (Golden Nug + Wardrobe) will be the final PATCH.  There can still be something that increases our attachment to DAI while waiting for the next game, and its clear now that Bioware is interested in us exploring as much as we can with some ease, given the Golden Nug news. We'll see, but I really hope that room means something aside from having some random and one (What is Green?) intriguing codex entry.

-Skyhold can still be assaulted but we just don't play a part in its defense. Plot stuff. Story can still hypothetically happen without us running around it like a main quest area. In Awakening, we don't exactly rush up to defend both Vigil's Keep and Amaranthine at the same time, but still surely still happens.

So I'm open to possibilities. My only real hope is that they don't sidestep Skyhold entirely. Maybe there would be great internal development reasons for that (not ones I'd like, but ones I'd comprehend), but it doesn't make sense to me from any narrative standpoint. We built this place up. We have it as our home. Even Haven, when torn down, had a level showing its tearing down. Losing Skyhold, either directly (conquest) or indirectly (not using it as base) should make sense, not just have the story go 'lalala' about. I'm not sure I'd accept a flimsy excuse either.

I see potential and just hope that Bioware acts on this potential instead of going "Yeah we decided not to do that because it was too much, so use the Winter Palace instead and forget about Skyhold."

Looking forward to LadyInsanity's interview.

This is my understanding as well, but getting kicked out of your own fortress is not how I imagined things would be? Until I see otherwise, this must be why clicking on the golden nug to sync the patch stuff is how you will get access to it - in other playthroughs? Should closing down the Inquisition be one of the options, it makes little sense that we would go back to Skyhold afterwards, unless it remains your personal port of call or something?

I'm thinking along the lines of what Darkstar said above. I think that somethings going to happen to our Skyhold.

I mean, look at all the forces that seem to be there in the trailer as you enter the Winter Palace. What if you're not called to the committee as risen leader threatening to bring a new world order, but instead, you're there to plead for a nation to take in your people and forces having recently lost your home base of power? Could happen, especially if Morrigan left the Eluvian (did she? I can't remember off the top of my head). Skyhold was built to defend forces from without, not from an attack from within. With the majority of your soldiers based across Thedas and at the foothill some miles below you, it would be hard to fend off a surprise attack.

That would be the best fix I think. Perhaps have the Anchor nearly kill the Inquisitor in the middle of the battle so he/she has to be dragged away unconscious, which then leads to the invaders winning.
