Will it ever be fixed? Will we get a SP patch? Or MP will get everything? Very difficult and irritating to play DAI with that bug. And the delay for the fix is even more frustrating.

I've never encountered this glitch.  Did it start rearing its ugly head recently?

Sadly, no. Ancient history. By what I read in other topics, a lot of people were "graced" by it. I just can't understand why Bioware doesn't give a word about it. And just releases MP patches.

A few patches back, I think? I don't think it was there to begin with, anyway.

It seems to happen mostly when I'm messing around with tactical camera? Maybe connected to move to point? Or at least mostly in the dragon fights for me, and they're the ones where I'm fiddling with companion placement.

I'm pretty sure that it was Patch 7 when people started to notice that.

Sadly, me including.

Me too. I think it's more or less universal, though some players may not notice it happening. Definitely something that needs to be fixed.

Same here. Happened to me quite abit. I notice it happens mostly with melee characters like Cassandra and Bull. It is annoying. I hope next patch does address this.

Since patch 7 it's been like that for me, but even worse in Descent! People were dying on their feet too often during Ogre fights! Never happened before either.

Dragon fights were always a problem for me in the DA series. I remember having this problem with Flemeth and again in DA2. But now it's not just in dragon encounters. It happens a lot. You guys may be right about some patch causing it. Memory can play tricks, but I think it was before patch 7. Not sure about it, though.

Roll the dice.

We have no idea if the final patch is going to attempt to fix this issue (or any other issue).

This has happened to me too, since patch 7. I've also noticed my party's health bars disappear when switching between action and tactical modes. I hope to see these issues fixed.

I never did either, until the last DLC. Every so often one of my companions will get frozen at the start of combat and I have to manually switch to the and use an attack to unfreeze them. Usually it's my Warrior tanks.

Yeah Warriors and Rogues for me. Mages are always fine.

Melee characters? That sounds about right now that you guys said it. I do think that this glitch should be a priority. Makes the game too hard and frustrating. I actually stopped playing it because of it. Would like to play again.

It appears to affect melee characters most often (this may just be perception—if you're controlling a melee character, you might not have enough vision of the ranged characters in a fight to even know when they're affected), but it can happen to any character, even enemies and neutral characters (I've seen Abelas lock up in the Samson fight, as well as the two dwarves in Descent in the rare case where the game doesn't get confused and try to perpetually warp them to different levels of the dungeon).

Varric freezes up a lot for me too. I hate this bug so much. :(

I don't think I ever noticed it until Descent.  Bull got knocked out in a boss fight, then he just stood there, and I couldn't revive him.

Same! In Descent I had both Blackwall and Cole dead on their feet and you can't revive them!

I once had Bull appear dead on the hud with a revive symbol over him, but he kept on fighting like it was nothing! Reaver indeed.

I've noticed it on my mages as well on the Xbox One. Not as often, and it doesn't usually result in getting splattered like when a tank locks up and goes down, but I'll see Solas hanging out behind me not attacking, moving, or casting spells. But it also started immediately after Patch 7 in my experience.

Some locations in Descent are terrible for party members standing there, enjoying the scenery.

One part of the 4th level in particular. Don't want to be too spoilery, but it's shortly after we meet the new faction. Rocky area, lots of gears.

Edit: I hate typing on a phone.

I wish mine did. I would try and touch them to revive them and they would slide around on the screen like they were covered in butter!

Oh that's not good! I have a PC but so far my Mages are safe. I'll watch for it though!

Yep.

It's an ugly one, so fingers crossed.

It is an annoying bug. During my recent capture of Suledin's Keep Iron Bull stood there watching snow fall while my mage Quizzy was being pummeled by a giant. :D

"Oooh! Pretty snowflakes!"

If they could re-add amulets of power for the inquisitor as well. That'd be nice
