Which is your favorite school of magic or specialization for your mage?

For me it's the Rift Mage. It's very apropos that the Inquisitor, the only being who can physically enter the Fade uses the raw energy of the Fade to his/her will. It makes me feel like a god, wielding the raw power of magic.

Healing. Always healing. Picked that bit up from the dark abyss known as world of Warcraft. Sadly bw decided to **** all over that with this game for some ****** reason so I ended up going with rift mage. It's okay. Though I only really use the big fire spell.

Is Blood Magic an option?

We can't use it in Inquisition, but in lore is the most interesting magic to me.

Shapeshifter isn't bad neither

Knight-Enchanter Elementalist... I can deal with anyone and anything, I'm highly flexible, I'm trained in martial combat, I have complete control of my magic and can channel it internally as proficiently as I can externally to devastating effect.  I've mastered every element. I also carry the Ultimate Shield and Ultimate Weapon, for they are one and the same.

Weapon: Wrath of Lovias, Elemental Type: Lightning

Knight-Enchanter Skills:

Active:

Spirit Blade+Defending Blade

Fade Cloak+Decloaking Blast

Passive

Combat Clarity

Fade Shield

Veiled Riposte

Elemental Skills:

Storm:

Energy barage

Passive

Conductive Current

Static Charge

Inferno:

Active

Immolate+Wildfire

Fire Mine+Searing Glyph

Passive

Flashpoint

Chaotic Focus

Pyromancer

Winter:

Active

Fade Step+Frost Step

Winter's Grasp+Winter's Chill

Passive

Mana Surge

Frost Mastery

Spirit:

Active

Barrier+Elegant Defense

Mind Blast (Only out of necessity)

Passive

Guardian Spirit

Strength Of Spirits

= Murder,  I wrote...

I always play my rpg's as a fighter/mage or any hybrid warrior/spell caster when I have the option. I love magic and martial arts so I think they fit well together, I like being as prepared as I can be for any situation while not having to rely on my magic in order to defend myself. So the Kngiht-Enchanter/Arcane Warrior classes are those that interest me most. For elemental I always go lightning if possible but I like being able to cast different elements in order to be ready for anything.

Origins+Awakening:

Specializations:

arcane Warrior+Battlemage

Schools:

Arcane

PrimaI

Spirit

In DA 2 I really enjoyed Force Mage, Primal and Arcane.

I prefer the Necromancer. I like DPS and the lore/codices of spirits, whether for healing, protection, or insidiousness.
