Has anyone noticed a significant fps drop when fighting the *****spoiler****** Thorian boss and the zombied civs on Feros?  Last night when I fought him/her the fps drop got so bad the screen would lock for 1-2 seconds.  Is this normal?  I have noticed this in a few other intense battles.  This playthrough I am playing from the 360 HDD.  Last time, I played from disc.  I do not think I remember this fps drop when playing from the disc, which doesn't make sense.  I am a little worried that I am losing performance when playing from the HDD.  I especially want to solve this prior to starting up ME2 (t-minus 2 days for me).

If you play for several hours+ at a time, sometimes it helps to restart your Xbox to clear the cache.

Thanks.  I heard clearing the cache = losing your ME1 game for import into ME2.  worried about this.  Hopefully loading an ME1 save at end boss, "re-beating" the game and making new save rectifies the problem.

Whoever told you that clearing the cache deletes savegames either lied to you consciously or enjoys speaking about things he doesn't have any knowledge about. Clearing the cache will delete your Title Updates / Patches and temporary files. That's all. It doesn't touch profiles, installed games, savegames or stored media files. If you boot a patched game after clearing the cache, the console will require you to download the patch again from Xbox LIVE.

Err... stupid question, but; how do you clear the cache? The only game I've had to do this for is Oblivion where you hold down A during boot up.
