You're lucky they did not shoot through that cover you were hiding behind.  Last night FC perilous hiding in the room of shame on wave 4 the bolters were shooting through the walls, ala a despair demon.

Why weren't you actually attacking them?  I saw a distinct lack of chain lightning.

Solid proof that if you don't attack the bolters they can eventually kill you!

I was testing armor penetration value with rock tonic..

Don't quote me on this, but when armor penetration is active (after an attempted knockblast attack), bolters will deal full damage until about 340 - 360 armor penetration (hope my math is right). After this cap you can start reducing damage via armor.

Nerf Disruption Field.

Seriously, I never did figure out exactly what it does with projectiles. Like, stop them for the duration? But if you walk into them suspended in air, you take full damage? Is there a difference between upgraded or not? Sometimes they just wig out and get stretchy.

It was wonky so I spec'd out of it.

Few understand how DF works, so I'll write a guide on that. Give me a hour or so

Oh, so that's why they can do such obscene amounts of damage.

So their 20mm cannons are running armor piercing ammo.  Makes sense.

I use it for lots of stuff.  Love to run right up to the revenant and drop that puppy.  Also good for battlefield revives and briefly slowing down a chokepoint when there are two.

Edit to add:  in addition to its more obvious use, of course.

FTFY

Disruption Field is probably my favorite ability on the Keeper (yes, possibly even more-so than Static Cage).  It can completely lock down choke-points and it gives you breathing room for revives.

It can also provide an infinite loop of crowd control if used in conjuntion with Static Cage, Gathering Storm, and Barrier/Mana Surge.

Don't I know it.  Right through the walls and bolters weren't even near the wall so it's not like their guns were poking through.  They were on the bloody stairs....

In the video you posted was DF upgraded or did you have a ring equipped, I noticed a distinct lack of projectiles being slowed :P

DF not upgraded and without ring. Ring / upgrade doesn't affect the effect on projectiles
