There appear to be different definitions of what a conflict is, or a resolution, or meaning - because I can't see that.

No?

We have arcs that have no conflict at all. The ending, of course. Dorian's, Sera's, Vivienne's arcs. Josaphine's.

Arcs that have no resolution. The mages and templers. Blackwall. Iron Bull.

Arcs that have conflict that doesn't mean anything. Winter Palace quest.

Cassandra and Verrac's missions I don't even remember. They probably go in the first category.

How is there no conflict in the arcs of Dorian, Sera, Vivienne and Josephine? How is there no resolution in the mage and templar stories, or in Blackwalls or Iron Bulls? How does the conflict of the Winter Palace not mean anything? Explain, please.

It would help if you gave an example of what you consider an arc that has conflict and one that hasn't.

One thing that I somewhat didin't understand was the ending. Why in the temple? Why not the Venatori stronghold in the hissing wastes? This ties in with the whole every zone should have been tied more to the mainstory idea. The venatories last stand was a bit lacklustre. This may in part because of the last gen limiting the number of enemies we could face at the same time. That situation has clearly changed now as seen in the Descent.

But anyway after Pride I would have preferred a manhunt for Corys hideout wich would lead us to the Hissing wastes, explore the wastes in search of the stronghold. Some war table missions like in the approach, plains and Emprise to reach it and end with an assault like Denerim/Adamant etc.

Only a guess, but it may have had to do with the position of the Breach, as Cory was ripping it open again. This was close to the Temple.

Yes, the veil may be super thin there. Hmm, a better assault on the stronghold would still be nice =)

Not a major request, but I would like for Bioware to consider Sustained abilities again.

I am simply not a fan of repeating Barrier, and like that the KE has to so little recharging of it that it is difficult for me to choose Rift Mage or Necromancer. The Guard ability works well, but the Rogues and Mages could use some re-consideration to avoid all getting Guard creating armors.

Thanks for the great game! You make us in the BDF happy! :D

What? The BioWare Defence Force is assembling to crush the haters in a decisive battle?

Sorry I'm late...

I've been looking all around for these two things:

I'd say that this is right, since he's technically re-opening the original breach.

However, the SH assault thing might have been fun. The only real downside is that we pretty much decimated his forces in the Arbor Wilds going to Mythal's temple, what's left of them anyway. So either way, it might have ended up pretty much like it did anyway.
