I have....never been a fan of these kinds of unlocks for games. You have to play the game 2 times to unlock the hardest difficulty, it's just---why?

I just hate being forced to play on "Normal" mode and just killing everything easily. My question is--and I probably know the answer but is there anyway at all to unlock Insanity off the bat? I don't need the bonus skills, I just want Insanity T-T I want a challenge.

It seems to go by your previous saved playthroughs, so I doubt there is a quick way to unlock it.

I had to reunlock insanity for ME1 due to all my data on my PS3 being deleted (it got stuck in a File Restore Loop and the only way to fix it deleted all the data on my PS3), so it doesn't go by your achievements or unlocked bonus powers.

Could be wrong, but as far as I know, there's no way to unlock insanity without playing through it twice.

Also, if you really want a challenge, play through insanity as an Engineer.  You're extremely vulnerable to melee and you don't have the advantage of biotics, so that adds quite a bit more difficulty to the game.

If you're looking for a challenge, Hardcore can be nice at first too. I also hate unlocking things, but since I'm also on PS3 I just went through with it. Played Hardcore as an Engineer and then Insanity as Adept.

Engineer was already challenging on Hardcore for me (I only played Casual previously ), at least in the beginning, but exploiting hacking is amazing, and fun to watch. I loved playing Engineer :)

You guys should play Sacred 2. It has five difficulty levels, each unlockable per character. :D
