What i am saying is: we all agree that a move will never be as good as the videogame, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will suck...I, personally, am excited about a mass effect film, as i would be excited about a dragon age film

If they do ever make it, at least we know the main character will look like Shepard.
yeah, but Sheploo is a photomodel, not an actor....therefore i doubt he will be in the movie
Well, lol, this is TECHNICALLY not a movie, imho, but a cartoon o0
They should make it about Conrad Verner's adventures during Shepard's time as 'dead'. But on a serious note it probably won't be made for a long time if at all, the same thing happened with Assassin's Creed I think it was a few days ago that the first picture had been shown after years without any news.
Games that have gender/romance/class choices shouldn't be made into movies. It ruins the fans immersions on what is canon and what not. Plus you would have a lot of those annoying people saying the movie is canon because ME team approved it and all.
If they have to do a ME movie, it should be focused on other things and not on Shepard.
THIS... and if BW couldn't do an ME4 because they shot themselves in the foot with no canon ending (move away from an ending discussion) I don't want Hollywood dictating how my video game ended ergo the 'canon' ending. Because lets face it there will only be one film so it will have to complete the story arc surely.
As long as they make the plot mesh perfectly with that of Darya Shepard, I will buy. You remember Darya Shepard, don't you Kaiser? The story will be perfect.

I'd be at the midnight premier.

It's an animated movie. A movie doesn't have to be live action to be a movie. Has Pixar yet to make a movie since all their films are animated ones?
I will accept the idea of a Mass Effect movie if they ignore everyone's canons and solely focus upon mine, including romance, gender, and choices and class. The only way you'll get a ticket from me......You see the problem? Unless of course you can convince the majority of people why your canon is the superior canon.

No renegade, no sale.
Thus the point is proven.
Why do you want it have you seen game movies there almost as bad as star wars episode 1.
No but seriously.
Imagine watching this in the movie theater. Come on! So freaking cool goddammit
We'd need like Christopher Nolan, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and Neil Blomkampff to collaborate. Split the direction equally between Chris Nolan and Neil Blomkapff and make Tyson consultant. And then, after the rough edit, make Baz Luhrmann quickly scan the project and introduce stylistic overtones

Dude, just replace all tehse guys with Peter Jackson
this is only a joke, fbi please do not be alarmed:
Kidnap Peter Jackson and force him to marathon the entire Mass Effect trilogy on PC in a dark room with superior gaming setups and then release him into the wild
Wouldn't be the first time rights to make a movie from a video game were acquired but never acted on.
the Metroid Series and the Castlevania had movie rights acquired in the past but the companies ended up sitting on them until the rights lapsed.
We got a movie. But I guess everyone wants to forget that one.

Sheploo can't be any more wooden than the in game character.

Can't blame you.So far Sh*tywood have only proven that movie adaptation based on video games are most horrible idea!
(I mean common look at this thing)

(Keep Sh*tywood away from ME please)
I hope there's not ME movie. Think about it, has there ever been an actually good video game movie? They're all trash.
But the same was true for comic book movies a few decades ago and now people can't get enough of them. Perphaps in 2030? Sames year as HL3 ![]()
I'm not matpat biggest fan, but This video seems pretty relevant
I doubt that it has been scrapped, they're just taking it with small steps. It's their big "side" project, probably not their main focus, so they won't hesitate not to rush it along.
There has been news, however, of this: http://t.co/8TU6Kybe9m
Whether or not this is further hope of Mass Effect coming to the big screen eventually, I can't say for certain, although it gives me that extra glimmer of hope (wouldn't mind going to that 4D display, either, if it weren't on the other side of the world, unfortunately).
