Please BioWare let the Female main character be more feminine! I hated the Mass Effect trilogy for Femshep, she acted like a guy with only maybe 200 words changed from the male script! I would like a less manly Female character and for her to be more tender and for her renegade options to be more harsh. Also, make the dialogue for the Fem____ romances more feminine for the woman she is.

You do realize that your title and post completely contradict each other, right? It's pretty anti-feminist to state that FemShep was "acting like a guy" or that women can't be masculine. Not to mention you're implying that men can't be tender.

edit- OP changed the title to say "feminine" instead of "feminist" so the above is somewhat irrelevant. I still don't see a problem with how FemShep was depicted. She was a strong, brave, confident, intelligent, independent and compassionate (maybe) woman, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Not sure which of those traits are suppose to belong to men.

Lol, I believe OP needs to edit the title to say feminine.  On that front, I'll go ahead and disagree.  I liked that my femShep was a bad azz and not all "girly."  She was much too busy training for combat ops to worry about makeup and designer apparel.

For the love of all that was right with the trilogy, puh-leeze don't let that abomination of a walk / run animation from DA infect Mass Effect.

How about they make them.... normal? Some people don't like exaggerations, neither too "masculine" or too "feminine". And this never ends well.

Though i'll admit the part of her being a copy paste to dude in terms of animations are kind of annoying, ie she looks like she has broken elbows. And it didn't help with her skinny body.

The animations from Mass Effect 1 were pretty nice, why they had to change them is beyond me.

Videogames are not political plazas. So stop trying to make them such, please.

Is this a joke/parody? : (
As a woman I want to say that Bioware did many things very well. Of course there were still issues but I want to thank that no game has ever made me feel both so feminist and feminine same time: thank you.

I agree about femshep having renegade options being more harsh. I would even add some violent actions  to renegade. ME3 could've used a few

Yeeah--noo. You're not a girl scout with roses in your hair. You're a tough as nails, seen chit go down soldier -- If a colonist, you see your friends and family murdered or enslaved. Or your whole squad killed by a Thresher Maw. You're not going to be all girly, girly, after you've seen that ****.

It's somewhat crude to say 'acting like a guy' but I fail to see how that's at all 'anti-feminist' when there's no accusations of it being a bad thing.

Well, actually, that's not true. I understand perfectly why. But I'd like to hear it from you. How is that at all 'anti-feminist'?

Also, while I wouldn't say men can't be 'tender,' they certainly shouldn't be effeminate. Not for the kind of story BioWare is writing. You have to be careful with affectionate dialogue and such.

Shepard was in the military, Zam. What did you expect? Other then a few small things, female Shepard was alright by me. Fix a few of her body animations, make her walking animation more feminine, and give her just a bit more class. If BioWare did that, then she would have been perfect... well at least for me. As for dialogue, it was acceptable to me.

On a related note, I'd totally be ok with Andromeda having a canonically female lead. I believe Shepard is canonically a man so it's only fair that the ladies have a turn.

Wait, I've never heard of that. Shepard is canonically a man? Is there a source for that?

Balderdash, sir. The only canon is what exists within my save files!

The perfect animations were in ME1. Female Shepard's walking and running were amazing and normal. Almost like a female soldier. Then it went downhill pretty hard after ME2.

There's no canon Shepard.

The only issue with Femshepard's motions was that they used mshep's animations exactly, without factoring any disparity of proportions. A confident stride is appropriate for any soldier, but femshep had less size and muscle mass, so it didn't look like a confident, "masculine" stride, it looked exaggerated and clownish.

Both Sheps in ME1 ran like bad slow-motion vampires in a cheap B-Movie... though male Shep was actually worse as the run animation was slightly feminine :\

I've given my opinion on the right balance for the female protagonist. But for those who haven't read that thread,
