I really don't miss the tactical wetsuit from ME1 though. As for the clothes, FemShep always got the short end of the stick, though the dress in ME2 was better than ME3's version, and at least was good for Kasumi's mission. The only time I used the ME3 dress on my Shepard was in the Citadel DLC. It's really the only time it ever made sense, especially since Liara automatically comments on what Shepard is wearing regardless. Too bad the leather jacket is an M!Shep only deal, but I'm glad for the CE hoodie.

Is Liara your LI?

Kaidan was mine and he made some comment, like... he was super turned on by what I was wearing, but it was the same casual outfit (I have male Shep, so it was the leather jacket with jeans) I'd been wearing on the Normandy all game... lol thought it was weird.

Yes. I figured that this was the reason, but I've never played through the Citadel DLC with another Shepard yet. I figured the game assumed that you'd have Shepard change to go to a fancy sushi restaurant. Too bad that outfits weren't made to tag dialogue, though I imagine if it did, wearing Cerberus armor during the Citadel coup would've been really interesting XD

Seriously, the way Kaidan talked you'd think Shep was wearing like nothing but his tighty-whities lol I was like, come on dude, you need a shower?? It's just some jeans and a jacket!

One of the many unfortunate pitfalls of not having a "popular" romance (which I consider to be Liara or Kaidan)

You may say they're not popular, but I call them popular. The other reason would most likely be that they weren't ME1 characters

I guess that Traynor and Cortez would have some basic training to be Alliance, but they were never really set up to be combatants in the game, so I couldn't really see them serving as temporary combat companions. As for Jack and Miranda, I guess they could just come up with some silly reason why they'd know to come to Shepard's rescue, but obviously Miranda would only be available for this after Horizon is completed.

Anyway, I'd be most curious about Jack's comment. No doubt it'd be something along the lines of taking him right there in the car lot.

If they have Cortez part of the squad when in the archives, he should be able to show up at the car lot.

Traynor would be hard to explain. I would like to hear the reason from Bioware why she, Jack, Miranda and Steve couldn't escort Shepard during the casino mission.

I totally forgot about Cortez being part of the team in the archives. Funny that even then, he's inaccessible to be part of your own group.

To have Jack or Miranda show up, one of the Normandy team, perhaps EDI, would have to contact them when they're on the Citadel, but Jack is the only one that is on the Citadel fairly early after you rescue her and the students from Grissom, while Miranda is only really free after Sanctuary.

Not sure if this is a bug I got or not but I got Liara commenting on my clothes in that DLC during my Thane run, my Shepard and I both did a double take at that.

Also agreed on poor Female Shepard's clothes, I would of killed for the jacket and jeans Male Shepard got instead of that dress with a really oddly placed zipper (though it did make some sense ot wear in the Citdel DLC). Oddly I much rather would of had the ME2 dress since I actually found it way more appealing, wasn't its fault that Shepard didn't know how to sit in it.

Yeah, female Shep outfits are lackluster. After Maleshep got John Chricton's outfit for casual, they could've also made Aeryn Sun, Starbuck or Zoe Washburne outfits for Femshep. Instead we got that trashy looking desert dweller thingy.

I've said it a hundred times already, but Miranda should have been on the Normandy in 3, and she absolutely should have been available the whole way through Citadel.

No, I don't think it's a bug. Liara is set to rescue Shepard if they don't have an LI, or if their LI can't come to the rescue. Add to that Liara seems to have an serious attachment and attraction to Shepard regardless of the intimacy of their relationship.

Are you referring to this?

I like to refer to it as the space peasant apparel, otherwise known as the NPC death garb. Funny…even this got a better version for M!Shep.

Kind of hoping it was a bug to be honest. Maybe I'm a werido but I find her seeming to have serious attraction to Shepard regardless as always rather odd, maybe because it reminds me of that character you sometimes see in shows that just hound after one person for their love regardless of how that person they are seeking affection from treats them. It's not exactly like that but it does remind me a bit of it, if that makes sense.

Yeah, because this is the one that's supposed to resemble the John Chricton outfit from Farscape. What I wouldn't give for a matching Aeryn in black leather :)

Liara seems to be a polarizing character for most. My feeling about her have always been pretty neutral, but I've never been creeped out by it, or felt like Shepard was hounded. Unrequited infatuations happens all the time, and Liara actually seems very demure and reserved about it to me. Doggedly loyal and devoted, but never really pushy. It's very in vogue right now to dismiss the indulgence of the protagonist being commonly desired or pursued, but they're always people of remarkable aptitude, courage, charisma...exactly the kind of person who would attract admirers. I like for it to happen, because I think it often makes sense for it to happen.

I get your point though, with Liara in particular...It doesn't necessarily make a lot of sense for her to go on a mission to bring you back to life in ME2 if you were terrible to her in ME1.

Just another reason why it should've just been a coma, not death and subsequent resurrection.

Yeah, but then the project couldn't be named "Lazarus Project", which sounds so cool. But I'll admit, I chuckled a little when my man named his Shepard Lazarus back in ME1.

I guess my point in those casual outfit posts was that I expect the amount of femininity from my badass PC to be the same level as that of Starbuck (BSG), Aeryn (Farscape) or Zoe (Firefly). That means, wearing sensible armor, running like you're actually athletic, a little bit more build (like with Starbuck). The beauty of those characters is that in the end they were not "acting like men", they had their femininity, but were also badass.

Absolutely. Plus, then Shepard could have kept their scars.

I missed the scars.

I think they both look terrible, but I feel more so about the female one, partly because of that stupid choker thing, but also because it's clearly an afterthought design meant for standard issue NPC's. I'm pretty sure that throughout the entire trilogy, only one NPC has ever worn the M!Shep version, and that's that guy in Afterlife trying to buy Expel 10 tickets.

I didn't mind the male version but I'm a fan of Mad Max and Fallout. Hated the femshep version, though.

Well they frequently referred to it as almost dead, mostly dead etc.  So I just go with that, mainly because I think actual resurrection is just a bad idea to put into any story. And there are enough contradictions in the story for me to roll with it.
