Fair enough. It looked like you were claiming that feminism is somehow relevant to gendered traits. I always try to call people out when they try to impose the 'gender is a social construct' myth in any fashion.

As it is, while I do take issue with the core of what feminism is (patriarchy theory, rape culture, the wage gap myth, female supremacy in the legal system and in reproductive rights), I apologize for jumping on you because the OP ninja edited on both of us.

Someone apologizing on the internet? W-what is happening?

No problem. We may disagree, but at least we can be civil about it.

I thought Ashley was a great character. Do you mean a protagonist similar to her?

On a related note, I'd totally be ok with Andromeda having a canonically female lead. I believe Shepard is canonically a man so it's only fair that the ladies have a turn.

says you my shep is cannonically female i just wonder if we will be allowed to carry over are saves if there any reason to cary them over if its the furure or is in the past

Mass Effect: Andromeda takes place after the events of the Shepard Trilogy.

As for transferring saves, they will most likely do something akin to the Dragon Age Keep.

I personally doubt there is even need to transfer saves, ME:A is probably going to start with clean table.

If we're going to have a krogan squadmate as the leak claims, then at the very least I think we need to be able to establish whether or not the genophage was cured as that could have a major impact on his personality and outlook.

This:femshep-sitting-fail-mass-effect-s-commais something that should probably never ever happen.

Seriously, FemShep just looks like a sloppy hot mess.   I wasn't fond of her animations in ME at all, then the thirsty behavior around Jacob made me delete her file from my system.

IDK how BW can create unisex animations though. Men and women do walk differently.  There is no way around that.

They've managed in ME1. When I first played with Femshep, I never noticed that the same animations were also used for male character. While in ME2 & ME3 you do notice... a lot.

That thirst was something else, right?

You wouldn't lust after your own personal space mandingo like femshep?

Makes one feel sorry for his character.

I think they could gloss over that to a certain extent.

Part of what we saw in the trilogy was some krogan bitterness over the way they felt they'd been treated by other species. We saw several different viewpoints from different individuals. A lot of that could be left behind with the move to Andromeda.

As long as they have fertile females along, whether the genophage was cured could be swept under the rug.

No thanks, I hate DA:I female animation and think it is enough. They should make it more natural and human overall.

I actually don't blame him for cheating.

Same here. He finally found someone who didn't treat him as if he's just a piece of meat.

I think it's because they improved some animations for MShep but were too lazy to create separate ones for FemShep.

My Shep only had eyes for Liara and was gay as fook, the Jacob thing annoyed me to no end.

You know, I played through ME2 with a femshep - selected a Liara romance with the comic, but moved on to Thane - and I don't recall any "thirsty" behavior around Jacob. Maybe I just have a different standard for that.

The first sentence Femshep says to him, when you select the "talking" dialogue = "I'm more interested in ***talking**** for a bit." with that stupid smirk on her face and than sleazy tone really did it for me. You could actually hear the quotation signs around "talking". Couldn't stand to talk to him at all throughout the game, I just went once to get his upgrades and loyalty mission.

You know, I've been trying to locate the scene I think people are referring to but hilariously enough when I attempt to find it through Youtube's search engine, it provides me with videos about Shepard and Garrus especially romance videos as the top videos.

This is despite none of my search words being anything related to Garrus or even romance. I even tried to narrow it down by adding dialogue but that only made it completely remove Jacob's videos except for two near the bottom.

Poor Jacob, it seems like Youtube cares so little for and about him that it actively tries to avoid people watching videos with him and his scenes. It's like it holds a personal grudge against the man.

Note: My search words were "femshep jacob mass effect 2" and "femshep jacob dialogue mass effect 2".

For me it wasn't all the scenes, because I didn't even bother talking to him. But I've seen the end romance scene and it's hilariously bad, like from some soft porn movie, with the prizeeeee. :D

Tbh, maybe he's not all that bad, but that first sentence, when Femshep wants to do the "talking", and his answer is "I'm not big on pushing these talks.", I mean, the girl should take the hint.

I wonder if we could track down a single person on this forum who 'canonically' romanced Jacob. As in, not just as a laugh to see what would happen or explore content.
