Both Sheps in ME1 ran like bad slow-motion vampires in a cheap B-Movie... though male Shep was actually worse as the run animation was slightly feminine :\
I didn't see it as feminine tbh. In fact I consider his ME1 walking much better than ME3.

God dammit, let's not have yet another thread of people posting twenty goddamn pictures in a row of females with abs. We can all use google images, okay? We know what athletic women look like.

Walking is fine - it's the arms-half-raised, slow motion jog that looks silly... looks sort of like a speed walker ... if they were attempting to speed walk through treacle.

There's no canon Shepard.
Really? I thought there was a canon Shep and he was male. Maybe I just thought that since virtually all of the promo materials featured the male Shep.
There is no canon Shepard. They advertise male Shepard because they figure women don't play the games.
The animations for femShep were pretty bad beginning in ME2. Admit it. They just took Sheploo and slapped a female skin over the identical motions.
How about actually observing women and how we walk and using that animation. Oh, they did for other characters like Liara. What was wrong with doing the same for the protagonist? Resources? No. Laziness.
Let's take the running animations from female athletes. And if the character is wearing a dress and heels for a cover mission or casual wear, have them know how to walk and sit in them.
I think the body model for the female protagonist, if she's to be a soldier and believable in the role as the protagonist, should have a bit of muscle, and not be scrawny like in ME3.
I can barely remember how Shepard walks in ME2. I kept focusing on her bobble head dangling about like it was about to fall off.

So many flavors, yet salty is the one chosen.
Of all the responses I expected a picture of Becky Lynch would elicit, anger wasn't really on the list.
It's the abs. You can't spell abdominal without A Damn Boil*.
*Thanks wordsmith. You make the Internet better.
Please BioWare let the Female main character be more feminine! I hated the Mass Effect trilogy for Femshep, she acted like a guy with only maybe 200 words changed from the male script! I would like a less manly Female character and for her to be more tender and for her renegade options to be more harsh. Also, make the dialogue for the Fem____ romances more feminine for the woman she is.
do you have the facecode for her?
....The Pathfinder has military training! As a result you gain definition. Being a dainty thing is silly.
I like that FemShep had the same dialog options and was treated the same as broShep. "Shepard is my battlemaster; she has no equal."
I didn't like the way her boobs inflated over the course of the series and I definitely did not like the slow jog animation from ME3 -- it was like ME was infected by the horrible "sexy run" from DA. Bioware, you're pretty progressive so you've been getting a pass from me but cut it out with the stupid swishy run, FFS.
I would like a more feminine protagonist sure, the problem is that you're defining what is supposed to be a player defined character. There's also the snag of 'more feminine' means different things to different people, and I really don't want to put up with some people's ideas of what a feminine woman is - particularly if she's also supposed to be a combatant.

True, though there were a few little scenes where some NPC would be a jerk to FemShep, like Harkin and the batarian recruiter on Omega, which, admittedly, added much to FemShep for me, because of the dialogue you could choose in response, particularly the renegade interrupt in the latter.

Perception is everything. I'm more or less okay with the female DA animations, but when I say that to people who don't like it, I usually receive a lot of bristling in response. I acknowledge that the hips are exaggerated, and that they don't make much sense when the character is running and still flicking their bottom about at severe angles, but I'm cool with a little hip sway, and very cool when the hands move--as I've seen it aptly described--"like she thinks she's a pretty princess." I liked the way FemHawke stood, and traced the ground with her toe point when she was idle.
::shrug:: I thought it was cute.
It's not a matter of principle for me, a right way or a wrong way, it's just what I prefer. I have more feminine mannerisms myself, and I like occasionally playing a character who matches. But it's not essential.
What I do think they should do avoid is designing anything too far towards either extreme.

Those interactions were valuable content for me. It makes sense to occasionally encounter prejudice, and I've always appreciated Bioware for making the effort with gender specific dialogue.
Femme Shepard's boob size *didn't* change between the different games.
Seriously, use your eyes. They're always the same volume. Small. B-cup.
The difference is that her outfits in later games had 'uplifting' built-in bra support.
Now, if you made the same complaint about Liara, you'd have a pretty good point.
Sounds like the team should take the Saint's Row 2 approach and give your character different animations. You want to walk like a girly-girl? Check it. You want to walk like a pimp? Check it... It could be just the thing to add flavor to respond to everyone, give more animations in general for characters (as the protagonist animations could be animations of other characters), and determine if you wanted anything ranging from a tomboy to an effeminate man.
Only if it's optional and not something people are forced to play with.

I absolutely hated both of those, I don't like my character being catcalled nor dismished being woman. In general I don't want game being sexist to my character, doesn't make me feel that happy. And the answer didn't really help, "have guy insult you so you can kick their ass and prove what strong woman you are!" is bit overused by now and lame too, not really kind of power fantasy I'm looking for.
