Title. Sorry if this isn't' the right place to psot this but I play on PS4 and when I want to craft an assassin hat or cole's hat, it makes Cole completely bald and his blonde bangs disappear, making him look scary af. On a side note, When I bought the dread schematic for Iron Bull, I think the game treats it as Vitaar causing it to appear in cutscenes even though helmets aren't supposed to appear in cutscenes. The original Dread helmet does not do this. I hope this is resolved in the next patch.

If anyone knows a quick fix or something that'd be great.

XD It creeps me out to be honest! What I believe to be the problem is that when the devs added the schematics to JoH they didn't code it specifically correctly. IE, Iron Bull's Dread to be considered a helmet, not Vitar so it doesn't appear in cutscenes like any other helmet, but becuase of the current state of things, it does appear in cutscenes, hindering his expression.

Hats in DAI are meant to remove the hair mesh on characters, as such, it's obvious to conclude that they didn't code the hats to allow Cole to still keep his hair mesh even with a hat equipped.

Right, the headgear seems to disappear for cutscenes based on race rather than headgear type.

And if Cole's hair didn't disappear, it would poke out of most hats, like ears do out of hoods. They seem to have designed a workaround for some hats. The Overlord and Inquisitor Hats have leather flaps where you would expect hair.

Yep, I was happy to see the original hat's schematic because Cole's not really Cole without that hat ... not so happy that it removes his hair. Looks just wrong.

The original Dread helmet that you get on his 'loyalty' mission is treated like a helmet. It disappears in cutscenes unlike Vitar which stays on in cutscenes. It made me sad to realize that they coded the dread helmet like Vitar so now I can't see IB's expressions in cutscenes if I have helmets on. Usually Cole's hair does disappear when he wears anything else but with his hats, they kept the hair mesh. In the crafted version however, they disappear like any other hat.

Exactly the same, plus it's upgraded so I can make it stronger and what not but now it makes him into a creepy bald doll isntead of the indearing spirit.

I just hope the Dev's are at least aware of this problem and is part of the fix with the next patch, along with the other errors with the Spoils of the Qunari.

No fix. He looks like an idiot and they're never going to fix it.

This was maybe the most disappointing thing in Hakkon for me. I don't know how this stuff got by them.

I know right, you'd think that if they were going to provide schematics for such iconic piece of armor they'd make sure that the code was correct.

Had not noticed this before. Thankfully since the brim is so big and angled downward it's hard to notice during normal cutscenes and gameplay.

I don't know that it's the code that's incorrect, per se.  All helmts make the characters wearing them bald.  Cole's two non-schematic special hats that you can get are exceptions only because only Cole can equip them in the first place. Basically, on those, the hair is actually part of the hat.  I can't comment on this schematic specifically since I haven't done JoH yet, but I don't see a "Cole Only" restriction in the screenshot you posted, so presumably, the lack of hair is working "as intended", at least from a code perspective.

Those schematics are Cole-only as well. It is really baffling how they could mess this up.

the hats are still Cole specific, as is the Dread being IB specific. It just doesn't say in the crafting page.

I'm trying not to be too broken up over something so little especially since Trespasser is coming out soon but it bothers me how this along with Spoils of the Qunari are just so sloppy when it comes to details.

I stand corrected, then.  That is pretty baffling.  And I was just thinking a day or two ago about how I wished there was a schematic for Cole's hat...now I am faced with a cruel twist of fate.

And as of the latest patch, none of these errors have been fixed yet -sigh- hopefully it'll be fixed in a future patch or something since after Trespasser they won't be working on anymore DLC.

I think this problem is universal, I'm on Xbox One. It makes me sad, because I love to have Cole in his hat but I'd also like it to be useful.

It appears that most of the bugs with the Spoils of the Qunari have also been fixed with the recent patch, so hopefully they'll address this in a future patch. I just hope the devs are at least aware of it -_-"
