Whenever given the option to change weapons or when I approach the locker to switch the game will pause then crash.   I have the collectors edition from GameStop.

Just brainstorming here. I would delete the DLC content and see if it happens if it isn't installed. That would at least let you know if the DLC you installed got corrupted somehow.

If I already got mercenary that would delete him and then just reinstall him?

Is it a DLC weapon you are choosing?

To delete DLC, go into the program folder.  Look for a folder called DLC.  It may actually be a subfolder.  I don't have the game in front of me to tell you exactly where.  Delete the contents of the folder.  Start the game back up and change weapons.  If it doesn't crash then it was something wrong with a DLC file.  Redownload the DLC and reinstall it.

I wish I had the game in front of me.  I could tell you which folder that was and you could avoid deleting that particular DLC.  If you can wait about an hour I'll be home from work and I can tell you exactly which files to delete.

The DLC is located under BioGame folder in the game directory. Don't delete DLC_HEN_VT or DLC_UNC_Moment01. These are quest and not inventory so they can be ruled out.

So I uninstalled Collectors, DA, and Gamestop and now it allows me to switch.

I guess I should install one at a time to see which is messing it up

Ok so DA and the collectors work, So most likely the Gamestop one

Definitely the GameStop DLC. The other two didn't cause problem, but minute try to choose a weapon it crashed.

Well I happened again with the Krogan Shotgun. Is there something Im missing?

I am getting the same issue. It seems like it crashes most often when I try and change the assault rifle on anyone and the collectors edition gun is there.

Just to play it safe I would redownload the weapon DLCs and reinstall.

Check my above comments on how to delete DLC content.  Try running without the DLC installed and see if it fixes your problem.

Deleted all DLC with weapons but Krogan shotgun not working, and now it doesn't show the Grunt has a assault rifle, it just blank.

Now reinstalled the DLC and its back to crashing again. Would a reinstall possibly fix the game?

Even after reinstalling the DLC? (Downloading it new to avoid using the old).  Your save file probably doesn't like that there is content missing that was there before and could cause more issues.

Try a new game too rather than starting up that save file.

Ok. It seems after starting a new game switching weapons there, I reloaded my old game and now its letting me switch to Collector items as well as the Krogan Shotgun. I also reinstalled all the content over again. It might be random crashes that are linked to weapon switching but it i did test it out a few time to see if what specfic weapon that was causing crashes. It usually was
