Mmm... I'm all ears (eyes) now... So am I correct if I say that you got points in both long and short distance fighting? What have you sacrificed in term of abilities to achieve such flexibility?
Dwarf, this time I'll play a Dwarf...

Slight update...
I made up my mind...quite. So I'll travel with Blackwall as tank, Iron Bull as off-tank, Me as dwarven rogue artificier, and prolly Vivienne but I was thinking of Dorian 'cos of the banters ![]()
Anyone knows of banters between the npcs I wrote up?
Oh and...I'd like to romance Cassie... is that feasible?

Sounds good! Iron bull has great banter with Viv and Dorian, IMO. I don't think you have to bring Cass to romance her, after all josie and cullen never travel with you.Slight update...

I hope you're right... Of course I'll bring her along during her personal quest, so her approval raises even more..
Now all I'm missing is a good "hybrid" build that focuses on knives but has a little space for bow during dragons ![]()

I've played both dwarf warrior and rogue. Reaver does work for the roleplay because Cadash can be anything between a violent thug (escort the cargo, blood feuds, etc) to a surfacer selling goods to wealthy noble houses. Artificer has the extra bonus of speaking to Varric for the specialization and a star icon with Bianca (because she's also an artificer).
If you want extra dwarf references from Varric, take the mountain path instead of charging ahead in the beginning.
If you want to hear more about dwarves, then take Varric and Solas in your party for their ongoing banter.
For the Hissing Waste tombs, Varric and Iron Bull both have good dwarf-related commentary, but you need to pick one or the other. (Varric will override Blackwall from my experience.)
And even though you've already had Cole in your party, bring him again for the caves under Crestwood when you spot the nugs. Cadash has a specific reaction to his observations. Varric does, too, but he will override Cadash if he's in the party, from what I can tell.

Mmm.. I wouldn't like to change my party so frequently, so I'll take the best advice... I can't bring Varric, he'd be a clone of mine... I'll have Iron Bull.. and Blackwall...
Still not sure wether to bring Viv o Dorian...
I also bought descent today... my dwarf will revel in it ![]()

As an artificer, I like to have Dorian around.
In my PT, he had fire mine and, of course, walking bomb. And I used my traps all the time. Enemies were exploding one after another...very satisfying! ![]()

I've found that iron bull can work very well as a tank by taking all weapon and shield passives and taunts and by taking devour from the reaver tree it gives him even more survivability. However I wouldn't recommend taking dragon rage or any of the fear passives as they are counter productive for a tank.

Do you also use Ring of Pain or just the devour ability along with the passives?

Oh, you should totally do the Scout Harding romance if you do roll as a dwarf. And do not forget to use the Gold Nug to transfer schematics to your new character, that way you can use that awesome Legion of the Dead Armor. After that, and with all the money you have saved up from not having to buy more schematics, drop 10k to ride a War Nug!

I already got the war nug!
It's aaaawesome! As a dwarf you can go on with Harding? I tried to do something but nothing comes out of it...

No you can only flirt with harding regardless of race. And you can absolutely romance Cassandra without taking her anywhere Except her main quest of course.
As far as Dialogue. I don't want to ruin too much, but bring Dorian along and see Bull and him go from slight rivals to bed partners, enough that they will mention each other and their romance fairly often. And Vivienne and Bull have a strange relationship, she kinda triggers his more boyish instincts because back home tamassrans (women) were in charge and raised the kids, and she really reminds him of Tamassrans. Its really humourous with both of them but in totally different ways.
