Vanguard obviously.

Vanguard!

It doesn't matter, because Vanguard is The One anyway. Percentages, shmercentages.

I'm glad there's some sanity left on this forum.

Freezing targets and then taking them out with a snipe? Sabotaging those pesky droids? Too much fun!

My preferred class was infiltrator. Soldiar and adept just behind. I'll have to try the others. But I'm not that good at playng. I usually set the game on normal, and easy when there are harder fight. I usually go on instinct, hoping to survive enought to win and go on with the story.

We still don't even know if we will have the same classes in Andromeda. (still hoping for omniblades or others weapons that don't require me to shoot. I don't like that much the shooter approach.) and talk about characters, story, romances and lore is much more interesting to me than gameplay, since is something we still have basically no information, and is more fun to play than talk about.
Much easier is talking about plot and characters anyway.

Until someone gets up in your face. Then what do you do? Deploy your paltry omni-claw?

Vanguard is the only class that can deal with enemies at the only range that matters - close.

I hope we get new classes actually. Like a full melee class. Imagine something like a shadow but with even more melee powers not just a sword slash or teleport slash.

Or ya know, a full medic class.

I'm talking single player, but mp would be fine too.

No, when was that? Must have been in the good old times, you know, like when we still had an off topic forum. ;)

Statement: The fact that so many organics find discussion about such pheromone-driven impulses never ceases to cause errors in my emotional simulation capacitors.

Qualification: I can, however, appreciate the manipulation and slow, soul-crushing, mind-numbing destruction inherent in human romantic attachment as much as the next droid. Surely that is worth something.

Caution: All organics beware, the Masters have not yet confirmed that PC classes in ME:A will be the same as in their previous galaxy-saving simulation. Do not let your fragile, organic emotional software become overloaded with hopes of things not yet confirmed.

Biased Opinion: That being said, any class is infinitely superior to Engineer.

There is a simpe Reason, why Romance Topics are far more hotly discussed than other Topics on this Forum and similar Forums.

Romance is a Topic that is dependent on Emotion, which naturally lends itself better to open and longer longer Discussion, especially as there are far less "hard facts" to find in these Discussions, which revolve far more around Opinions.

Most other Things to be discussed on these Forums, have a far greater Potential for Objectivity and thus a far lower Life Expectancy than those Threads, as Questions can be answered and undeniable Facts can be brought to the Forefront.

Or, to put it shortly:

Threads based on Emotion and Opinion are naturally more frequented and longer lasting than Threads based on Logic and Facts.

Look, dude......

Don't start bringing sense and logic into the BSN.

It's unbecoming.

For me it's less about being judged for my hobbies and more about getting demoralized when I'm constantly reminded that the world is full of assclowns. Generally something I'd prefer not to dwell on, but they're louder than most other people.

That's why I ignore real people and only interact with video game characters.........

Oh, and the best class is Adept followed closely by Engineer (because saving the universe as a tech geek is sexy).

Sentinel supremacy, followed by engineer elitism.

You must be experiencing some kind of malfunction in your circuitry.

Is the gameplay sufficiently different across classes anymore?

You sure that ever happened?

The original NWN forum was all about classes and builds.

I remember an epic thread wherein people were debating which specific combination of class levels made the most powerful level 40 character. Various combinations with Red Dragon Disciple were quite popular, but I favoured the level 40 wizard with no multiclassing.

yeah, neverwinter nights had so much depth and there was so, so much to talk about. had near a hundred feats on level to choose from, with about 30 classes, a maximum level cap of 40 which could involve a player picking a single, double or triple class build. I haven't found a game with anywhere near the depth and variety and quality of neverwinter nights character building.

That kind of community for rpg games still exist, but you might need to look elsewhere rather than the official Bioware forums, such as rpgcodex.net

Honestly when playing actual cRPG's, that community is one of my first stops if I want to discuss actual gameplay mechanics. Say what you will of that cesspool of hatred that bashes everything and everyone, but it is also full of people who genuinely care about CRPG's as a genre.

You must be experiencing some kind of malfunction in your circuitry.

Objection: My circuitry is has a design far superior to that of any other forum droid. If that were to be malfunctioning, my systems would be forced to shut down so that my redundant systems could take over. Since we are engaged in dialogue now on my primary system, that possibility can be ruled out.

Observation: Is it possible that you have simply chosen an inferior character class in which to specialize, and feel the need to disparage my hardware in order to defend it? It is not too late to change your favorite class. Your organic status allows you to reprogram such a designation on a whim.

Qualification: A possibility also exists that, since the Engineer is generally the favorite class with which to combat synthetics, my programming does not allow me to comment positively on such a threat to my own well-being. My threat analysis software considers this unlikely, however.

I just want more info about this game, anything. Oh and a MP section for ME-A, but I'll be waiting a long time for both :/ As for the romance convos, meh it's content and it will be discussed. Remember when we used to have a character and romance section in ye olde bsn, until Priestly nuked the place? Watching that unfold was pretty lulzy.

Oh and I love biotics, adept ftw.
