Solas 8DSo who's the Orlesian representative?
That explains why Viv was so overwhelmed without saying a word(in the trailer
) on that ugly divine robe as well, and sitting close to that ugly fereldan fashion
.
I laughed way too hard at this! Since Celene is still empress in my canon state, I guess she needs a new arcane advisor.Solas 8D
The Orlesian representative could be Cyril de Montfort, Prosper's son. After his father's death he inherited his title, and joined Council of Heralds (war table mission: Dance whit the Dowager: The Courante). Also, he wears his father's clothes.
Wait, is this from a new trailer or something?

Any of the Council of Heralds is fine with me. But if that's Fairbanks then there will be words. The first will be 'You'.
10+ years, plus he wasn't exactly "young" in Origins and shift in engine and bamm there you go.
This is like peoples overreaction to Morrigan in the original teaser trailer for Inquisition, instead we then end up with a Morrigan who looks like she hasn't agedca day since Origins
People age and get old

It's the shift in engine / change of art style which seems to ruin it. I'm allllll for seeing aged characters (could you imagine an elderly Alistair in DA 5 or 6??), but I wish they'd have tried harder to make them still look right. DA2's Zevran was just a mistake that should never have seen the light of day, and so many DAI cameos were just disappointing. Especially the characters from the novels. Celene looked like she was 80, Briala was boring and Cole looked like some corpse with bug-eyes lol
Well, if that's really Bann Teagan then I hope we get to see what's happened to Connor. Honestly, I wish we had the opportunity to help him decide his future at Skyhold. He can't rule Redcliffe anymore but he can still do something positive with his life.
You mean the dead kid? I'm sure he's still dead.
Fashion isn't Dragon Age: Inquisition's err.. highest quality.
Beige pyjamas? Check.
Fugly armours? Check.
Chantry sister letterbox hats? Check.
Josephine's dress? Check.
Orlesians? Check.
The Chantry sisters' outfits aren't supposed to be fashionable. Compare historical nuns' outfits.
Also, some of the armors look really nice. Certainly much better than in the previous DA games, and actually more better-looking than most other armors in fantasy rpgs. Apart from that, fictional armor is always a compromise, since it must also look functional.
As for Teagan.... it appears it's next to impossible to recreate the face of a character in an old game in a new engine. Morrigan's face worked, but I recall she went through several outright ugly iterations (to clarify, not merely older, but different in a bad way) in the pre-release material before she ended up with her present face, and I get the impression that extreme effort went into her.

Well she IS a witch so it would be expected that she would have some youth-sustaining tricks up her sleeve, now Leliana on the other hand...she must have it really good with the Maker to look barely 25-27 after all of this time.
That is Arl Teagan ?! ![]()
I remember Teagan as this dashing dork of a noble who has the ability to make a married Orlesian prude of a woman cry "TEEEAAAGAAAN !". That's the Teagan we know and love.
Now look at him. Where has all the handsomeness gone ? Cullen and Alistair still look good in DAI. Damn, it even Loghain looks decent, in a William Defoe kind of way.
Y U Do Tis Biower ? Y ?! Y Ruin Teagan ?!
The years weren't kind to him.
Oh, the years were but Isolde was not.
"TEAGAN!"
Are we seriously taking a swing at DAI's art design over DAO?
I present to you: Reality.

Now you tell me it's the bloody beret that gets you.
He probably wouldn't look half so bad if he wasn't wearing that absurd hat. Then again, stupid looking hats are a Dragon Age tradition.
Exactly what I was thinking.
*DAO mage hats
*DA2 everyone's headgear
*DAI Chantry sisters' hats
Developers on the development of the next DA game:
D1: "I don't know...something is missing...Yeah, I have it, Nobody has an absurd-looking hat"
D2: "People complained about that, it's good they're gone."
D1: "Not so. It's become a tradition, people expect at least one butt-ugly piece of headgear that offends any fashion sense."
D2: "Hmm...."
D1: "Come on, just one. It won't destroy the world, and it will contribute to the identity of the setting."
D2: "That won't be possible. We fired the responsible artists. It takes some special talent to make things that ugly, believe me."
It does look like him, older, shaved, in a new engine, and with a truly ghastly hat, but still him.
I suppose its possible ... just take a look at Allistair and most returning DAO characters. Morrigan and Dagna were theonly ones they got right
