I know what you mean op. Mass Effect 3 has the same problem, only worse. Next to your companions you look like some random npc.
Calpernia has like 10 minutes screen time at most and she gets her own texture and hair. Why can't I have nice things?
And the default eyebrows... don't get me started on the eyebrows. Whoever designed them must have been a troll. No matter how pretteh a face you created, those.... things instantly destroy it.
An example?
I look for everywhere and all the sliders and characters i founded are ugly and has the same face, this reminds me to Sims 3, when all Sims has potato faces.
Maybe she don't look weird in that picture, in another I'm sure she does.
PD: A elf never can be baddass, they are the cutest thing in the world.
Then all people in the world is bad at the character creation?
I'll get back to you soon. No time to collect pictures right now.
Three people? My, my, how the fandom population has dwindled!
I definitely agree. It sucks that the companions and major npcs get custom models with unique hairstyles while the MOST IMPORTANT character aka the player character, gets stuck with the sub-par regular character creator used to make every Villager # 1- 100 and the same ugly hairstyles as every other random bloke out there.
Verdict: DAI needs Beauty School DLC
Hairstyles? If you find them uninteresting, use one of the infamous sexy hats to have a unique Inquisitor. Never again a boring face
I see the sames faces, one more ugly than another, but no one of them has "personality".
Please don't take like an offense, but your Elf doesn't look... "real"
"Dragon age Inquisition slider like cullen"
I saw one with a terrible Cassandra, is not the skill of the person, is the game.
The CC doesn't restrict any parameter of the face. If a person makes the jaw to narrow or the eyes unrealistically high on the forehead, that's either their choice or their mistake, it's not the CC. There are also plenty of textures though most people only choose the smoother ones. The only things wrong with the CC are the lighting, the hair/facial hair and to a lesser extent the eyebrows. I also think that if you can't find one single face you like out of hundreds that you're just trolling, have a much better image of the companions in your head than how they actually look, or have really weird tastes.
I made a "badass warrior woman" complete with scars and broken nose in 10 minutes just now and I think she fits in with the companions perfectly.
Here's one of my inquisitors and Dorian, I see no difference in quality/texture/whatever between the two

While making these characters, every choice of every facial aspect I made myself. The CC never hindered me aside from hair and eyebrows and I ended up with exactly what I set out to achieve every time.

Is good, but nobody can deny we could make better characters, I hope the next Dragon Age has some CC like Sims 4 or Fallout 4.
To me, the companions should be somewhat unique. So them having a few unique hairstyles isn't a problem to me. But I so wish that there were more features available in CC.
As for not liking any of the inquisitors out there, and not thinking any of them look amazing - well I strongly disagree.
Ever since DAO, I've been salty that I can't use Morrigan's hair. Especially in DA2, when the entire elven population of Kirkwall can use it, but Hawke can't.
It'd be pretty funny if the Inquisitor showed up in DAI with the exact same style as Vivienne or Dorian. I wonder if they'd consider it a compliment or an outrage?

Uhm, to be honest... it's not that hard to get Vivienne's hairstyle... there's like 13 of them... >_____>

In my eyes they're on the same level as the companions and advisors (except the hair) so yes, I deny you . Seriously, look at the picture of the inquisitor and Dorian together and tell me what the difference is? I really don't know what you want out of a CC.The DA:I CC is waaay better than TS4 (except hair) and is not only the best BioWare has ever made but it's one of the most well done features in DA:I. I very much preferred the CC in TS3 to TS4, in 4 the pinching and pulling aspect is restricted to a narrow window. You can only make the nose so long or the eyes so wide, etc...and something you've been complaining about which is texture to the face is completely absent. The sims have no skin texture. Fallout 4 isn't out yet but I'm hoping its' CC is less restrictive than TS4
I'm thinking when you say you want a "better CC" what you really mean is you want better hair and a CC that's easier for you personally to use (the pinch and pull style). Give me sliders any day of the week
I'm in agreement with those who say there are some pretty authentic looking quizzy's out there. My main goal was to avoid the plastic looking complexion that a lot of DAI npc's have that I think looks too cartoonish. But, to each his own I guess. I'll let you be the judge.
