The new patch "fixes" the vendor in the Descent and it no longer pays more for items than other vendors.

Thank goodness I sold all that stuff there already! (I used my vast wealth to buy every purchasable schematic in the game, so my future Inquisitors can just high-five the Golden Nug instead of bothering to go shopping.)

Ah well... can't say I'm surprised.

It was glorious though being showered in 100,000s of gold last night when I wrapped up Descent.

(though to be fair, money's not an issue on the PC unless you want it to be...)

Why? Most people who have played Descent have finished the main game why not allow the console users to get some cash without having farm it?

I... did not realize that was a bug. Thought it was kind of a nice little reward for a DLC played at basically the end of the game.

I'd suggest not patching, selling as much as you can, and then patching.

Whoops.. too late guys: I have already finished the DLC post game with all of my characters and sold everything I could... ha!

Luckily I haven't gotten around to playing Descent yet so I don't know what I'm missing. Take that cruel sting of disappointment! I'll just continue making money the old fashioned way: farming schematics. Especially that one in the Fallow Mires. I see you purple schematic aaaayyyy.

more i think of it more i realise i dont really need gold anymore unless to buy mats which tbh just playing the game normally will net me enough gold for that

You only need to buy them once though that's what The Golden Nug is for.

Well, I figured that it was a bug, but I was glad for it.  Finally, a way in the game to actually make gold and not be broke all of the time.  I set my team up with the best equipment possible and then completed the rest of the story that I had left.  Hopefully, I'll still have all of that gear in the next DLC too.

Well, isn't the vendor an inquisition guy with a stand that just happened to be posted in one of the Legion of the Dead camps?

 

I guess technically that would mean that you're buying and selling to yourself? So your profit would be artifical... Is there an IRS in Thedas? Hopefully the Inquisitior doesn't get audited!

Haven't done that yet. However, I did finish up Descent last weekend and sold All The Things, so I'm gonna go to the Black Emporium, buy All The Things, then go Touch The Nug.
