Griswold is a very good one
Love that game
Mine will mean nothing to anyone, but I shall tell you all anyway. My character is named 'Obtusifolia' (the letter allowance was not long enough for 'Obtusifolius'), and when the dog turned up I called it 'Rumex', because Rumex Obtusifolius means 'broad-leafed dock' in Latin. I mainly use Obtusifolius because a) I like the word, and
no one else ever uses it. Ever. So it's a good one to have for usernames.
Anyway, I liked Rumex for a dog because, apart from sounding quite snazzy, I noticed that it's kind of like 'Rex' but a bit more... sophisticated, I guess.

I just started a new game as a Human noble Rogue and have named him Brutus. Not very original, but it's the first thing that popped into my head and I couldn't seem to let it go. So Brutus it is.

First Playthrough (Dalish): Bear. He's huge!
Second (Human Noble): Cub. It seemed to work since the PC was getting called "Pup" the whole time.
Third (Mage): Coda. Nothing special here, just seemed...acceptable.
EDIT: Oh! Wishbone! Wishbone would've been perfect for the mage. Damnit! What's the story Wishbone... No? Nobody else remembers that show? Heh, oh well.

I named my war dog Baldur. I like how he runs, I'm calling his running style "Baldur's Gait".
Epic.
I called mine "William"...
