Well the canon name is Rabbit so I named him that.

Well, it's not technically cannon; The first gameplay footage featuring the dog was with him named 'Rabbit', after a developers odd tastes.

The name stuck from that playthrough, which is hilarious.

It's as canon and official as we're going to get which is good enough for me.

Nice play on words, and a nice homage to that grand game that brought the genre back from obscurity. I'm almost tempted to steal your idea (maybe for my noble dwarf warrior, "Baldur" sounds like it could be a dwarven name).

My human noble warrior will call him Dane after the Fereldan hero, the Dalish rogue will call him Arashar. The mage might just stick with Rabbit, she's quirky enough for that.
