I named my war dog Baldur. I like how he runs, I'm calling his running style "Baldur's Gait".
Good one. I called mine Bolt. Was gonna call him Jim but decided against it.

Did your dog terrorize dwarves and have epic battles with wizards?

Kharash, named for this celestial canine/humanoid hunter of evil dude from the 3rd ed D&D Book of Exalted Deeds. Thought the name sounded cool, and what with the hunting of Darkspawn and all, it seemed appropriate. My husband named his Mabari hound Corenyor, which, according to an old Dragon magazine on the elven language, roughly translates to "King of Battle." He is playing an elven mage and wanted to honor his heritage.
Yeah, I know, it's like geekiness squared over here, but we take our amusements where we can find them.

Interceptor was the first thing I thought of when I first found out about the Mabari hound character.
Now, would you say that your character would slit his mama's throat for a nickel?

The two dogs I've had in my two campaigns (so far) were named Sammael and Excalibur. (I later noticed that Bioware actually included another Sammael in the codex, so that was a bit of a surprise).
