you mean Mana?

have double mana and -50% reg is not a buff. it's the same. But it was the system they should make default from beginning

Rift Mages don't give a rip about passive regen...

Also conductive current is all but useless with current regen rates. With the mana pool refilling so fast as to make the bonus damage largely wasted.

That's a little old school. With some of the new mana-hungry upgrades, both max mana and regen rate become more important. There's a discussion about Immolate/Consuming Fire in the Toggle thread that touches on this. An RM without the Sigil, you can cast 3 Immolates in 2 seconds on a single target, 4 if you take lyrium potion. An RM with the Sigil and lyrium, you could probably squeeze a fifth in, maybe more in 4 or 5 seconds.

@Dabrikishaw, some pretty conclusive evidence about Immolate/Consuming Fire, thanks to Rynas:

Patch 10 change seems to have reduced the mana cost of the base spell to 25 mana. Not sure if that is only when the Consuming Fire upgrade is bought and toggled or if across the board.

not sure if this is how it is supposed to be as it is my first playthrough, but my elemental mines are just flying through the air. occasionally they will be thrown out on the ground towards enemies but for the most part they just take off flying in diagonal directions across the map. I saw another post about this being since the patch. anyone else have this issue? it renders them basically useless

It might be a bug with the new toggle upgrade. Keep testing it and report back to us.

That's a known issue (or at least an issue that's been reported by a lot of people; I can't say that BioWare actually knows/cares about it). Sometimes the mines and gravity decide to not be friends, and the mines will go floating off into space.
