Don't you think the speed of dragon killing was a bit unbalanced relative to the other classes?

As it currently stands the upgrade to MoD is basically pointless. I'm coming from a skill based perspective, not a MP dragon kill point of view. Besides, there are other ways to kill dragons very quickly that don't involve MoD.

The former upgrade gave a 20% armor reduction

The difference is that it was potentially useful, even if it wasn't terribly potent. The new upgrade gives no benefit whatsoever over the base skill, which is the result of a terrible design philosophy on the devs' part.

Any chance AoE daggers will count towards the dagger challenge anytime soon, looks like the bug was under investigation over 10 months ago.

After seeing the toggle-able ability upgrades in SP i was sooo hoping to find the same treatment in MP.   :(

Looking over those alternate upgrades and going back to the TTD issues (reduced/very little guard generation) brought up a few days ago, it seems like a flip got switched and it's actually using the new TTD Who's next? upgrade rather than the old En Garde one.

 

I wonder if this is happening to several other skills that aren't functioning the way they should be.

I haven't been able to give messenger/informant/captain barrier for several days -- is that connected to the patch?

I think it was like this for the previous patch actually, if I am not mistaken you also cannot barrier stealthed teammates as well.

Hmm explosive shot got nerfed? I only hitting with fire not both phys+fire and I do shiet damage :(


Yeah, apparently it got a 50% nerf. What's going on? The AoE is already tiny which makes it hard to really AoE with in the first place and then the damage is cut in half?
 

That is one of the weirdest backhanded nerfs that they could give a character. The extra 4 seconds isn't going to be enough time for 50% to be better than the 100% for early detonation.


Er...

Call it 7.5 seconds then detonate early, effectively get 15 seconds worth of damage.

Let it expire manually after 12 seconds, get 18 seconds worth of damage.

If you won't detonate the mark prior to the last split second anyway and/or if you're bad about early mark detonation then this actually is a good upgrade -- obviously spike damage changes the math a bit (if you unload a lot of major damage abilities in the first few seconds...on the flip side, the extra 4 seconds might let you get around round of burst abilities in) but it could definitely be a buff in many cases.

I think it was like this for the previous patch actually, if I am not mistaken you also cannot barrier stealthed teammates as well.


You could barrier them as of a week or two ago.

You could barrier them as of a week or two ago.

 

 

You would also need to deal in pre change and post change equations to see why its backhanded. The original ability upgrade allowed the Archer to pump out damage far more efficiently because three of his four primary cooldowns are still raw physical damage. Those 7.5 seconds with an early detonation included an armor reduction of 20% before the change which meant his armor penetration was also far more effective because it had less armor to penetrate and thus an overall higher damage output.  After dealing with just his damage you'd have to allow for his party's possible damage output due to the change in armor status as well, on most caster classes it would have very little impact due to their abilities dealing with Elemental resistances to overcome instead of just armor; however his physical dps party members would greatly benefit from that 20% armor reduction as well. 

 

When taking these factors into account, its not just a nerf to the Archer but to many party compositions as well.

One Leaping Shot = no armor on the target for the entire party.

For PS4 it was patch 1.10

 

I was always casting barrier on the Inquisition captain till 1.10 hit and I was like WTF.

I'm almost certain I was able to cast barrier on the escorts as well in the previous patch, on PC.

 

As for not being able to cast barrier on stealthed teammates, that may be a side effect to changing its functionality similar to Fade Cloak?

off topic but... my god is she good. 65% damage reduction before any armor is applied??? 

 

So you are saying that the Saarebas completely reverses the damage formula and applies resistance/defense before armour?

It will just shoot bolts at you for eternity. I tried jumping off the map, running to every corner in hopes of creating LOS. Nothing works. They just get stuck up there until they are forced to do their "leap."

 

Happened once when I had a Zither in the group. We were able to get it down eventually with that. Happened another time when my team faded and I couldn't do anything. One of them left and rejoined so we could get it down.

When i encountered this the problem was that they didn't lose health. According to this thread they don't use the leap until they lose 20% of their health.

If they can’t improve stability, why don’t they just:

  1. Prevent anyone to take the last slot of a game during 5 minutes after someone crashed,
  2. During this lap of time, the person who crashed will have a popup when starting the game that allows him to rejoin the game.

Your happened pre-leap?

 

Mine happened when it was 2 hits away from dying and it super leaped onto a tower and starting shooting at nothing.

Yes. It seems it can happen twice per Saarebas if you are unlucky :lol: <_<

Stamina/mana regen broken since patch.....really noticeable in assassin when in stealth does not regen stamina alot of the time....also sometimes saarebas the starting frost step like ability is unresponsive. You activate the ability and do nothing just stand there.

I have seen this when the Saarebas in full health.   I think he was in a mode that waits for someone to hurt him, so he just stand there and do nothing.   As soon as I shot him with an arrow, he jumps over to me on the other tower.
