To all honorable, decent and law abiding citizens of the Empire of Orlais and the Kingdom of Ferelden, this proclamation, published by the joint efforts of His Imperial Majesty Gaspard de Chalons, Emperor of Orlais and their Royal Majesties Alistair Theirin, King of Ferelden, and Queen Anora Theirin, with aid and authorization of Her Holiness Divine Victoria of the Holy Chantry of Andraste and His Worship the Lord Inquisitor Trevelyan of the Holy Offices of the Inquisition, it is the purpose of this pamphlet to notify any and all citizens, subjects and servants of recent developments that have affected the land of Thedas.

The foul and ever treacherous barbarians of the North, the Qunari have once again attacked the lands and people of the Maker without provocation or justification in their misguided and heretical attempt to undo the fabric of civilization in their crusade to enslave and destroy the lives of all honest Theodisians. In response to this monstrous assault her Holiness the Divine Victoria has declared an Exalted March against the horn-headed  barbarians. It is the duty and responsibility of every decent and just Andrastian to aid in this most holy mission to free the people of Northern Thedas from the foreign and alien savages.

But you might ask, why should we fight? Who are these foreigners to me? It is to preserve our way of life is why we fight. The insidious and malignant Qunari seek to undermine and destroy all that is decent, humane and holy in our world. Your families will be torn apart, never again will you see your spouse or offspring. You will be turned away from the light of the Maker and forced to serve the diabolical and most odious practices of this heretical faith to whom the Qunari owe allegiance to, the Qun. Through force, coercion, intimidation and fear the lives you know and cherish will end.

But do not despair! Even as we speak brave men and women, warriors, rogues and even mages are doing their part to save your home from invasion and heresy! Do your part! Donate arms and armor to your local garrison. Enlist in the armed forces. Watch your neighbors. For the enemy is not only abroad, but perhaps in your every land! The Enemy has spies, slaves and traitors from all ranks of life serving their heretical masters. See something suspicious? Report it to the Inquisition or nearest Inquisitorial affiliate immediately and without delay! It may save your live! Do not take justice into your own hands, let the professionals to their job!

Remember people of Thedas, the brave men and women of the world fight for you and your freedom. Most of all they fight for our most Holy Prophet, the Lady Andraste and the most Divine, He who is our Maker. Don't delay save Thedas today!

From the offices of the Most Holy Inquisition. Signed this day the year 9:43 Dragon.

"Into Darkness unafraid."

Thought for the day

Blessed are they who stand before

The corrupt and the wicked and do not falter

Blessed are the peacekeepers, the champions of the just.

Benedictions 4:10

I doubt that her promises of helping defeat the Qunari are going to factor in any meaning way in Trespasser.

No she can survive if you side with sir Varnell earlier, but she will be stripped of her mother title.

No, a Agressive Hawke can side with Ser Vernel and kill the Qunari, after that Hawke can help Petrice at the Chantry and she will live.

I doubt that her promises of helping defeat the Qunari are going to factor in any meaning way in Trespasser.

I doubt too, but would be good to have her back to encourage the party to kill the cows men.

Probably not a good move, to be honest, regardless of one's stance on the Qunari.

She said she would help my Hawke in act 3. In the end it was a good move.

Yeah, she said she would. As to how she intended to do it, she herself implied that it would be by taking advantage of the Chantry's fractured state. And now, ain't nobody got time for that.

I would have loved to side with Petrice, but the only Hawke I could stand playing was sarcasticHawke.

After the Conclave there was a lot of opportunities to her, maybe she got what she wanted.
And I doubt we will se her in any fashion in the future, but I will never forget those tenders moments that my Hawke liked several cows men because of her. Every time any of my characters fight the Qun, I shall remember her.

I'd sign right up into the King's army. You don't even need a warmonger like Gaspard to end up in war with them. There's no "live and let live" with the Qun. At times I wonder if they are antagonizing everyone just to make sure their people have something to unite and fight against, 1984 esque.

The Qun can't even keep its own on their knees. Some chance it has with the rest of Thedas.

And let us not forget their laughably flammable dreadnoughts. I for one am looking forward to Thedas repelling their next invasion with handful low level rogues armed with couple of matchbooks.

A Dragon is the less healthy thing that could happen to one of those toys, followed by storms and mages.

'Gonna get some heat for this but I would enjoy an option to let the Qunari takeover. I would choose it at least once.

I mean, I do not support the Qun, nor do I need any convincing to fight it. It's just that there are general ideas behind it that I like and respect a lot, even if I usually do not like how the Qun puts them into practice. Worse yet is that to fight them, I have to champion allies and views that I like less.

It is a pretty no-win affair for ole me.

If the inquisitor is a Qunari the DLC is going to be awkward...

Eh. The Qunari agents we meet will probably deliver one of the typical slights toward the Vashoth heretic, and leave it at that.

Actually, I'd be curious to see that outcome as well, even if it did just give us a Non-Standard Game Over.

My concern with the Qunari invasion plot is if it went the way of the Mage-Templar storyline and end up a dull squib, because the devs don't want to upset the status quo drastically. It would disappoint everyone because once again we'd have all that build up and no real pay off.

I think the only way we could do a decent Qunari invasion storyline is if we set it on Seheron, perhaps having our character part of the rebellion to oust both the Qunari and Imperium from the island and ultimately rising through the ranks to lead the entire resistance.

Sadly I'm on last gen, so I can't play at the same time as the rest of you, but when I upgrade the Qunari will not be ready for me.
