The one with scarfs. It's the only one where no one can see my poor male elfs skinny neck.

I would love the removal of the butt capes for the males... EQUALITY IN INQUISITORIAL BUTT GAZING! That and the clipping is just horrid, the outfit is so much cleaner without it.

I would have given the female the option of having one as well because as you say equality but I guess we'll just have to use what we'er given at least we can change things now.

Any straight guy with a female character likes the Venture outfits.

That they do.

(In an ideal world, I would just be able to wear my armor around Skyhold. I spent an nearly an hour farming Sulevin for those damn pauldrons; I should be able to wear them everywhere for all that monotonous effort.)

I really like the black formal wear. It would be my preferred outfit for my main Inquisitor, if the formal wear hasn't always been wonky at the shoulders for female qunari.

So my female Adaar wears the Venture Capital outfit.

My male Adaar wears the Midnight Tower outfit.

And finally, my female Lavellan wears the Venture Forth outfit.

I was happily surprised to see the new features in the patch (cherry on the cake!).

I like the Venture Forth one for my guy Lavellan. It seems coherent as an "in between missions" outfit when you play a rogue. Plus it looks good and I like the tiny details and accessories on it.

I will switch to the Midnight Tower outfit or the classical pajamas for more formal moments in the game though.

(edit: I've heard about butt capes for the venture armor for guys and saw some in demonstration videos. Maybe it's because I downloaded it later (or a race-gating thing) but I don't have them?)

I can't decide between:

Spoiler

or this

Spoiler

Also she looks surprisingly dashing in this:

Spoiler

Yeah, I'm with CoM Solaufein, fizzypop and sjsharp2011, the first one looks the best on your character, by far.

I think it's only human male as far as I seen.

yeah they're only on the male ones strange really as I find they look nicer on the female characters than the male ones at least in terms of the armour. I remember in my last playthrough playing as a female rogue Lavellan after completing the prologue her being in the Scout armour with one of those butt flaps and I thought she looked pretty damn sexy in it. I'm not complaining though as at least we have options now which is something we couldn't really say before

Um... I'm a straight guy, and I think the Venture Capital one looks like crap. As for the other one, I would say it's OK, but I'm not sure I would say that I like it.

I like Venture Forth probably the best, but all of the options were much appreciated. I spent quite some time last night selecting the most appropriate manor attire for each of my dozen or so Inquisitors. Also did anyone notice that the Par Vollen decor added statues at the Skyhold entrance?

I definitely noticed this.. has me retrying all kinds of things seeing what other hidden gems there are.

Im def in the minority, not a fan of venture forth. Seems to mercenary ish to me. Just doesnt seem like a "leaders" outfit. Im trying out Eternal. I think I like the gold against my inquisitors skin.

Yeah I think it depends on what kind of character you'er going for though this kind of outfit I could see working out well on a warrior type of character for example. The butt flaps ones maybe for example suit people thast maybe playing as mages or something the ones with scarves may suit roguish type characters if you'er playing one of those. I'm not saying you have to play that way because you can wear whatever you think suits your quizzy best. But that's how I kind of think they've categorized the items and how they've gone about the designs of the new outfits.

I liked Nights Watch best, then the other color variation of it Days Vigil.  I was a bit disappointed there were not a bit more "common" looks like Flissa's dress or fancy outfits like ball gowns but still better than the beige pj's :)

Eh. Gotta say I'm a bit disappointed with the options. I mean the Wardrobe itself is awesome but the highest my approval gets from any of the outfits is like a neutral meh.

So armor first. I think thw armor probably looks the best but I just don't want to wear armor around the house like that. Not my thing. Also, my character's a mage so it doesn't make sense for her to take off her robe and put on armor. Then again, she romanced Sera so sense went out the window long time ago.

On to outerwear. Day and night ones = fugly. But on the venture ones i really like the scarf, arms, gloves, boots and everything above the belt of the vest. Thing that really bug me is everything around the waist/hips. Especially the butt and that weird seam thing.

I don't really like the formal thing outside of the winter palace so that leaves me back at the pjs. Which I've always been really meh about. New colors are okay i suppose. Not enough to break the indifference.

I wish the formal wear was race specific.

I went to a friend's wedding recently, and there were quite a few guests from Nigeria, Bangladesh, India, UAE etc as well as UK and all of the different formal wear was really vibrant and nice.

Anyway, it made me think that surely, the formal wear for a dwarf, an elf, a qunari and a human are all going to be different? Especially with a Dalish Elf and a Vashoth, it would have been nice to have formal wear that is representative of their race and background.

I know right? Besides all of that they are recolors of armor or clothing in game already. Nothing new. I was seriously hoping for something brand new with only a few recolors here and there. At this point they can steal my work. I'll design it...just put it in the game for me!

Other companies have taken mods (with permission, of course) and put them officially in games. Bioware should have just done that with these outfits, because that would have pleased a lot of people and presumably wouldn't have been terribly difficult for a AAA developer to do.

Tintable would have been good, yes -- I still want something purely in the Inquistion colours: black, silver/white and red. But I'm growing kinda fond of the Night's Watch despite the warhorn, and Eternal and Midnght Tower suit my Inquisitor as well. No more damn beige skintight eyesore!

You forgot green! Green is the Inquisition's main colour.

Sadly, none of them.  I am gonna keep using cheat engine to bypass that and wear armor.

I will forever wonder why they didn't just let everyone do that. We could wear anything we wanted in any colour we wanted, and they wouldn't have had to program the wardrobe. Win-win. So naturally, they opted not to do it.

+1. I find it rather insulting that they're totally okay with removing the flap to see the female butts, but are too uncomfortable to see their male butts, especially since a lot of people wouldn't mind seeing them. Not me, but a lot of other people :P Also, the clipping is reason enough to remove it.

I don't think i have one favourite - just love that fact that I can actually make my various Inquisitors look different from each other! That said, kind of surprised we don't have the option to tint them ourself.

Never used to care too much at all about this kinda stuff; only something like a hefty Dwarf in pajamas really ever made me wince. My Human and Elven Mages look fine in beige PJ's; no real need for alternatives. But now I care....

I blame it on a marathon of watching all the episodes of Downton Abbey. :D

My current favorites are the outdoor selections, esp the last two with coats. Currently am wearing the daytime version with my female Elven Mage, and the night version with my male Human Mage.

Definitely Venture Forth I believe it's called.

Spoiler

Inquisitor was not impressed with just the simple recolor of the PJs.

Spoiler

He looks like a brown-haired, Elven Benedict Cumberbatch.

Wish there was a Inquisition colour in formal wear.
