Well, shite.  I bought it.  It says I just have to log on for it, but I don't know how to start it.  I am on my finished saved.  Is it on the board?  I'm not seeing it.  So frustrated.

Sad instrumental music is what I'm listening to currently. Solavellan feels have reached a power of over 9000. And writing sad stuff doesn't help coping with it, ugh. I put a little extract from the tiny fanfiction that I'm writing under a spoiler. I just need to know if what I write could interest some people.

As he steps through the eluvian, his face falls. As he steps through the eluvian, her arm begins to disappear. As he steps through the eluvian, he finally understands that the reality of his situation has never been as real as it is feels now. His would-be-world crumbles like the world around her that she once claimed to know. A would-be-world, in which all could be good, could be right without a single sacrifice. And yet he knows that he is the one who has to take the blame for his actions that breathed life into a whole religion. He counts how much time is left before her arm is gone – and comes to the conclusion that he doesn’t quite want to know. Still, he keeps the countdown like a ticking time bomb in his head. It does not give him shelter or ease his mind, but he knows his crimes and anything is better than asking himself if she could ever forgive his actions; even knowing that she is sitting alone, lost in a world she only recently seemed to have found a place for herself in seems less heartbreaking. Soon, that might be stripped from her, too.

 

The first touches of a red string being rubbed against a broken piece of glass are already deep within him; he felt the pain when he yet kneeled beside her. It was a soft kind of hurt and the cut barely singed his heart – but it was enough to begin to feel. For her, it was one of the last cries of agony from the misfortune that he had inevitably caused.

 

-> The idea behind the little fanfiction is that taking the anchor from her also severes a connection that he had with her because of it existing.

I was on Team Optimism when we were hoping for him to be romanceble, I was on Team Optimism when he left Lavellan tearful and confused and now...

I hope against poopishious feelings that, no, it is not over.

In fact *raises flag defiantly although strength evidently waning* I declare Team Optimism renewed.

The Order of Optimism shall live on, it must.

I'll get behind your Order. They aren't dead. Lavellan wants to save her beau and accepts who he really is. They aren't dead. The series isn't over. I will let this spark of hope in my heart grow.

OMG you're right and I LOVE Naruto!! And the arm thing reminded me of his and Sasuke's final battle too.

LOL! That's what I'm saying. I mean the Naruto story was bound to fail so much but look how well it turned out and Sasuke got dark really quickly throwing away everything, including people important to him because he felt he had to do what he did, so I can see this working out favorably for Lavellan, IF big IF, Weekes/Dev team decide to do so.

 

I think we can say we are most definitely intrigued.

If Lavellan is not giving up WHY SHOULD WE?!!!

 

Let's have faith people. There's a reason why we are so invested in Solas. It was never meant to be easy!

I just saw the friendship ending. He says he will treasure the chance to be proven wrong, asks for your hand, apologizes, tells you to live well and then removes it. You really do have the option to redeem or kill him for the upcoming future games now.

 

Oooh! Where did you see this? And is the hand removal scene the same as the romanced Lavellan minus the kissing? Because I watched the romanced Lavellan version and it didn't really look like Solas removed her hand. (She still had her hand attached.)

YES! Our patience shall be rewarded!! I know there will be things that will make us waver but I feel strongly that there is a good chance our Lavellan will catch her wolf.

 

Plus let's be damn honest. Something needed to happen to shake up the way Elves are being currently treated in Thedas. It's been bothering me since DA:O. We had a hand at resolving the way mages live (for better or worse) and I feel like Solas needed to do this because the way Elves live in Thedas is just not right at all.

 

A revolution is coming. It's the time of Elves now! Elves are done being treated this way and while I do not agree with Solas' methods, I do believe something needs to happen. Tevinter we coming for you!

Why Solas.

He did while kissing her, but this is more visible and you hear the snap. He always walks away before the arm fully vanishes. He can't bear to see it.

 

 

I think he WANTS us to stop him.

 

Oh damn! This video shows a whole lot more dialogue than Sug4rKane's stream! (Sug4rKane didn't ask all the questions on their stream)

 

Like giving the orb to Cory, and he even mentioned Briala mentioned one of his agents failing to retrieve something from her and that Solas himself had to override the magic on the eluvian personally. I'm guessing this agent is Felassan?

 

EDIT: Also, I love how Solas was speaking in iambic pentameter at 13:43 when the Inquisitor asks about the future.
