Translation of Solavellan scene "I won't give up on you!":

Elvish:
I: "Solas, var lath vir suledin."
S: "I wish it could, Vhenan."

Literally:
I: "Solas, our love way/path endure/strenght to withstand loss."
S: "I wish it could, vhenan."

Translated:
I: "Solas, our love has the strenght to withstand this path that you walk."
or

I: "Solas, the path of our love has the strenght to withstand this."

S: "I wish it could, vhenan."

Ugh! My heart. :crying:

Out of likes.

Ah he is so in denial. Love/friendship will redeem him it seems, along with a heavy dose of magic to the face and an army.

Guys please help me understand because I don't know if I'm being stupid or what but I'm just really confused. Why is Solas so hell bent on helping the elves from the very beginning if he didn't even view them as real people? Honestly I would picture him being disgusted with modern elves and not care about them if he really felt that way; he just feels really contradictory to me right now.

Also maybe I'm not understanding correctly but I'm also taking it as "they did the deed". I felt that his line "I would not lay with you under false pretenses" meant that he was not lying about his love for her. In my mind he is basically saying he would not lie about his feelings just to get her into bed and if they were intimate his love for her was honest. Ugh I hope I'm making sense. Well that's my headcanon anyway.

I haven't played it yet but I'm feeling weirdly optimistic about what the future holds for him.

Sorry if this is coming out all funny but I'm at work trying to write on my phone. >. <

If you redeem him, you will try and convince him not to destroy this world. If you say you will stop him, it means you will likely kill him in the upcoming war against him. Lavellen wanted to join him, but he refused her. I will redeem him, but the join option just didn't sit right with me since my Lavellen isn't one to watch her friends die for a lover. I'm hoping by joining him, she was trying to stop him.

Or you can redeem him by finding a way to compromise, a way to join this world with his.  Or possibly both worlds survive in alternate realities and she helps him make it happen;

In my head cannon, she knows who he is all along, Mythal sent her to help him and she couldn't reveal who she was for fear he would reject the help with his overly suspicious nature.

He said he never laid with her because he wouldn't do that while pretending to be someone he's not. When he said "may the Dread Wolf take you" and she said he did, she meant he took her heart and he misunderstood.

He doesn't care about (as in, he doesn't want to save) the current elves - he wants to save the race of the elves as he remembers them. (Dunno why he recruits countless elves, maybe he promises them that they can follow him into the 'new world' or something similiar - but Lavellan cannot follow him because he doesn't want her to see what he becomes. I think he's really, really scared about it all deep down.) He wants to save those elven like him, or rather, restore the elven culture to what it once was: A race full of magic and immortality with a rich culture and great possibilities. He himself says the current world feels for him as if he/the Inquisitor/Thedas' people were walking amongst tranquils. He also says to a friendly Inquisitor that, yes, at first he didn't see the people as people - but the Inquisitor proved him wrong.

Not exactly. Sure, we could say that and Solas is damn right out of his mind to doom one world just to save/restore another: But, and he says that himself, he is no monster. I think part of that is him trying to justify his actions (because what else can he do), but he tried to help the Inquisitor in any way that he could. While his overall goal is to get his old world back and doom modern Thedas along the way, he desperately wants the people to live their lives peacefully while they can. Poor guy is full of doubt, but feels like he cannot back down because correcting his mistakes is pretty much all that he's living for.

has psn updated yet? im on ps4 and cant find it

Yes.

You have to specifically do a search for "trespasser". And it's not up in European store yet, just Australia and North America.

Maybe I'm the odd one but I never saw Cory as bad either, just a corrupted mess filled with lies and lost hope and grasping desperately at his beliefs and can't be reasoned with because of his hate and need for power. Solas is similar in being misunderstood, but sadder, lonely and hurting because unlike Cory he knows the truth about his people. This is why I believe we are going to save him. He has a good heart. I am actually getting a bit angry at the comments on the forum where people are saying "Called it! Solas is bad" "Solas is evil" "jerk needs to die"

Are we going to have to ask Weekes to clarify on whether that dialogue meant that they slept together or not? I feel like we might if people are still a bit confused by it.

I admit, I assumed at first that the dialogue meant that he wasn't lying about his feelings for her or something to that extent when he said "under false pretenses". But then again, it could be me just being a bit dumb and not understanding it properly. :P

I don't know. And without an actual sex scene (left up to us to decide) I doubt he slept with her, knowing who he was and who she thought he was.

I think this is one of the dialogues that should be kept as vague, just so that headcanons won't be destroyed. Though I DO think he did not do the do with her, simply because of the backlash that it could cause. I'm looking at you, Blackwall.

Like, not being a Warden is one thing. Being an ancient elven 'god' who lived thousands of years ago and plans to doom Thedas to restore his old world is something else entirely.

I'm not getting off work for another 3.5 hours. I can't even concentrate at work and I have so much stuff to do!

Can I send the game to download to my PS4 from the psn store? Any PS4 users?

If your PS4 is currently in stand-by mode, yes, you can purchase from the web or phone and tell it to download to your PS4.

Thank you!! I just bought it and it gave me the option to add it to the PS4 queue. Now the waiting game.

I'm excited on one side to marry my Inqui to Cullen and on the other amputated hand I'm excited about the possibilities with Lavellan and Solas.

I'm gonna stay positive guys. BW wouldn't have bothered to add that the Inquisitor won't give up on Solas for nothing. Hawke came back in this game, there is a good possibility for Lavellan to come back for the next game during the final battle to decide what to do with Solas.

Also look how many things people got right! All the main theories about Solas past turned out to be true. I mean I wasn't surprised at all and I feel like thr Solas thread was our therapy to better deal with this.

I honestly feel like it could've been worse. I think I can handle this guys!

Just imagine playing as our new main character, facing off against Solas with the old Inquisitor at your side, and at the final stage of the game Lavellan rushes to Solas and comforts him. Can we have that, bioware? Please?

Worth a shot, but a friend of mine was having issues on XBox and the DA Twitter account suggested this: http://support.xbox....r-cycle-console

Seems to have helped him. I wish I knew how to help. :(

There, there. *gives you a virtual hug, if you want to*

Btw, it seems like you don't get the option to try to redeem Solas if you aren't friends with him!

To a rival Inquisitor, he says:

"Ultimately, none but I could have borne the mark and lived.

Your death would cause more senseless chaos, more bloodshed.

It is unnecessary.

Though I doubt you will thank me."

Then he just leaves - there was no option at all.
