So there's only one conversation with Solas, then? At the very end of the DLC? Ah well.

 

Still, I am so happy that we have an option that is essentially, "I am not giving up on you". It's what I wanted out of the ending in the first place. I know it's a longshot, but I really hope we can play as the Inquisitor next game. At least partially.

 

I'm actually kind of mad that I like Solas this much. It's gonna make it that much harder to get into a new character and a new romance when I'm constantly hoping for more Solas sightings.

 

But what a story! The Inquisitor going off to save their love by stopping his plans. Putting together yet another badass organization to do it. I wanna play that game.

I think I'd be satisfied if the Inquisitor at least just played some role, like being the one to call the shots and give a new protagonist (their agent or something) missions and such while still being a figurehead. I could get behind a new protagonist if they didn't put the Inquisitor on the bus. I just don't see how it would work given how they're making plans at the end and making choices on how to deal with Solas and who they'll deal with Solas with. The Inquisitor just didn't seem to be treated the same way Hawke and the Warden were at the end.

 

But honestly, I still kind of want to continue as the Inquisitor...

Same. Though I'd always have this nagging feeling of, "why am I playing as this @sshole when I've got a perfectly good Lavellan right here?" Though maybe they'll make it because of the arm? Lavellan doesn't want to go out on the frontlines anymore if she's not at her best? If so, I'm ok with her playing The Chief, and her coming along with the new protagonist when we confront Solas.

It almost seems like the Inquisitor has just experienced the set up for their real purpose - stopping the Dread Wolf. It feels like a good book with a wonderful group of characters, but an ending that lets us think that the hero has just begun to feel how personal a war can be. It seems like a good anime in need of one but without a second season. It's like a movie that you watch, and you leave the cinema and think "Yes, that movie was good. But what happens to them?". Not: What happens next? - that is something all games with future installments should have, in my opinion, but a straight up "What happens to this specific character that I have gotten attached to?". It is like a painting that you stare at, and you just wonder what would the follow-up painting be? Would it include the centre piece of this one? Or not?

Agreed. And it surprises me how much I'd like to play as Inquisitor again - I didn't mind putting away my HoF or Hawke at all, but I'm very attached to my Inquisitor ... I struggle to see why they'd put such an obvious stinger/cliffhanger if the Quiz wasn't going to play a role in the next game. An option to redeem Solas somehow wouldn't be as meaningful coming from random DA4 gal and not romanced Lavellan/friendly Inquisitor.

I might be wrong, but I'm watching ladyinsanity's PT. She talks to everyone and we see lots of extra dialogue. I have a feeling spirit Cole intends to return to the Fade to help Solas.

WOWOWOW.  I haven't downloaded it yet, but I'm so happy with what I've heard!  This is a lot more than I thought we'd get.

The fact that he visits her in her dreams... as a WOLF, d'awww!  That's like all those headcanons coming true, it's beautiful ;_;

 

Wow, their relationship is like one of those romances you only see once in a lifetime.  And the fact that you can have your Quizzy say she'll save him.  AHHH I love it!  And at least we got a 4th kiss!!!!!

 

Like others, I'm confused about his "not taking" her line.  Hopefully, Weekes can clarify.

So...does anyone know what's in Sandal's Journal yet?

 

It says "SANDAL'S JOURNAL: NOBODY READ THIS"

And then proceeds to list a bunch of dates with nothing but variations of "Enchantment!  Enchantment?  ...ENCHANTMENT!" in it.  A bit of a letdown, all considering.  I thought the last entry at least would be different.

 

EDIT for Solas-related content:  I should be mad at the Solas ending, but the ending-ending was so "Let's go track down my boyfriend!" that I can't even be mad.  It's a 'To Be Continued' not an ending, IMO.  Also, sheesh, Solas takes a lot from a girl, doesn't he?  Her heart, her vallaslin, and her limb.

Damn it, I can't take anymore... this was the most wonderful and the most horrible thing I can imagine! I sat there laughing in glee while crying in desparation.

Gotta say, I love human Cole. It's so cute how he acts about Maryden! "... and her songs make the pain go away. And her body smells so nice... wait. I shouldn't have told that. Forget. Oh no, it doesn't work anymore. Anyway, forget!" They make such a sweet couple

 

Anyone knows what the words the spirit champion says to you mean? I didn't manage to capture the first sentence (something like "Fen'Harel elathadra" - could elathadra be "lover" since there is "lath" in it?) but then he says: nuvenas mana helanin, dirth bellasa ma." - then you can answer something- "virthar ma. na din'an sahlin!"

 

What are the caprice coin and the dog treats for? How do you free the Dragon?

 

I was crying when Sera mentioned that she was sorry because Solas left Lavellan and then offered her that she would make her a Jenny. Then in the epilogue you can see her missing hand with a hook and other tools to do mischief. I love Sera so much

 

Also that Solas comes back to watch Lavellan in dreams... *sobbs heavily*

I was shocked that Sera was so sweet about it!  I also cracked up when Blackwall asks if we heard from him, and one of the options were "I hope he's dead".     Vivienne also asked after him which was also surprising.  My BFFs Cole, Bull, and Dorian didn't say anything!

Up to now (I'm maybe... halfway through by now?), I've seen no mention of them other than Teagan complaining about the wardens of old and Ferelden making the right decision when they exiled them before the fifth blight.

Might depend on approval? I didn't get any of this either. I only got to talk of Solas with Vivienne, of all people... I didn't think my inquisitor got along that well with her. There was nothing from dorian (which I would have expected) or Cass *sad face*
