yea the part where he's ok with "destroying her people/ the world" (including her) has been really bothering me.

The reason seemed a bit silly to me. We see that he is taking in loads of elves and letting them follow him, so why not the Inq?

 

Probably to make writing the next game easier tbh.

Convince him it's time to leave the world alone and that he needs to retire.

Why would she leave with him and let her friends die? By joining him, she would lose all she worked for. I could never do that for a lover. She needed to return and tell them of his plans too. Leaving with him would end in no one knowing what is going top happen now and who Solas really is. And Solas knows if he let her come she would try and stop him.

 

I am 100% fine with him tearing down the Veil.  I am NOT fine with him knowing it will destroy and kill everyone and everything.  I think it's too extreme for what we know of him - I don't see how he could do it to our Lavellan, let alone the friendships he made within the Inquisition.

 

You would think he'd hide himself away and wait until everyone dies before activating Project Clean Slate?

 

EDIT - I drank from the Well and the Elves were friendly.  Also, the ghosty spirits of study had a line or two because I understood them, I think?

I am 100% fine with him tearing down the Veil.  I am NOT fine with him knowing it will destroy and kill everyone and thing.  I think it's too extreme for what we know of him - I don't see how he could do it to our Lavellan, let alone the friendships he made within the Inquisition.

 

So he's certain that tearing down the veil will kill everyone? Didn't he say, way at the beginning in Haven, that the world without the veil might not be so bad?
