Also, if Solas was the one who killed Felassan, anyone have any idea which Elvhen god's vallaslin he has on his face? I remember Weekes not wanting to say which vallaslin he's wearing.
Solas didn't kill him. He was working for Solas and died in the process of getting control of the Eluvians for him. I'm assuming the vallaslin were Fen'Harel's, thus the spoiler.
Why would his feelings for a rogue/warrior Lavellan be any different from his feelings for a mage Lavellan? I noticed this has been brought up a few times in the Solas thread before. I just wonder where people get the idea that his feelings for a non-mage Lavellan would be less than a mage Lavellan.
Same. He doesn't think more highly of Vivienne for being a mage than Cassandra for not being one: in fact, quite the opposite. It's who people are rather than what they are that matters to him when he's got his head screwed on straight.

I actually enjoy warrior/rogue Lavellan with Solas a lot more. The fact that someone who is even more ordinary than a normal mage, who could not easily enter the Fade and who knows less about what he talks about but is still so utterly intrigued by him fascinates me. Even if the romance does not leave me completely satisfied. Also, the comment that Solas loves Lavellan's warrior muscles.

Since Solas apparently has always been anti-slavery I don't think he has vallaslin. I think even Patrick said so at one point. I think it is more likely that Felassan has fake vallaslin that he uses to fit in with the Dalish or just never had his removed way back when for one reason or another.
I also think it was implied that Solas did kill Felassan. In the stream I watch Cole said something about the sad wolf with the slow arrow between his teeth. On the other hand, that could simply mean that Felassan was killed working for Fen'Harel and someone else interrupted. Is till think it doesn't look good.

I didn't hear this from Cole in my playthrough, but yeah. I think that makes it clear enough. Poor Felassan

I never read The Masked Empire, so I know nothing about Felassan. If he were trying to keep the eluvian key from whoever he was getting it for (ahem, Solas), I imagine they would have killed him over the issue. He only mentioned to Lavellan that he had an agent who died trying to get control of the eluvians from Briala - unfortunately I don't have the exact wording at the moment. Seems like a guilty suspect, though.

Here's hoping they take over the role of antagonist in DA4 so we don't have to beat Solas' to death. I'm reeeeally hoping whatever vengeance they have against the world/Solas will trump Solas' half-brained plot.

Felassan was Best Elf. It is a sad day to learn Solas killed him. But also kind of a painful irony- Felassan loved Briala [although not romantically], and betrayed Solas because he saw her as a person. Solas would eventually fall into the same trap- seeing Lavellan as a person.

Though I'm willing to give him some credit. His plans tend to fall through because he underestimates people: Briala, Lavellan, and Corypheus. But he was the one who sealed away the Enavuris. He's not about to underestimate them, not when he's the one who sent them to Fade time-out in the first place.

The Dread Wolf's love that holds on to her own world even in her appearance, while Solas himself wants to restore what once was. But keeping it just rubs salt into the wounds and I looove it.

I don't know. Someone posted it in the Solas thread when I asked for some juicy elvhen lore. I can't find anything else on it.

I've always had him remove the vallaslin, but now that you,re saying this, it makes me want to keep it next time... Damn right things change. And in spite of all the bad, there is still good things in this world. Lavellan will fight to her last breath to get him to see that. As long as she's alive and kicking, she won't let him destroy the world she's fought so hard to save from Corypheus.
