I hope she's not dead, I love that old hag. Some of the best parts of Origins and DA2 are bantering with her
Do you truly believe people like Flemeth and Yavana are gone?

In DA2 and DA:I she shows up briefly out of nowhere, is mysterious, and then leaves without really adding anything to the story. I love Kate Mulgrew and I thought Flemeth was interesting and cool in DA:O but it's time to let her go.What games were you playing?
She only got better and more badass throughout the series

So your obviously not looking into the bigger picture of things and don't see that Flemeth is a huge part of everything. Saving the Champion is a big this
She's played a even bigger part in Inquisition she's suppose to be Mysterious. We have figured out now that she is Mythal which is a huge thing if u didn't know

She's done many substantial things in each game so far what are you talking about?
DA2 she saved the champion of Kirkwall then had them resurrect her so that she could live on.
DA:I did whatever with Solas which we don't really know yet she obviously played a part in Cory having the orb. She also collects the Arch Demons soul if you went that path
All substantial things

Flemeth is a narrative device of cancellation of the player's choices,a narrative eraser
Players and writers prefer to call it destiny i prefer call it a premeditated eraser of choices.
I prefer to call it "Flemeth the Boss Witch(of the wilds) "

If there is something i would truly miss in my DA games it would most definitely be Kate Mulgrew's voice and acting

I would guess that they aren't done with Flemeth.

At this point, I prefer if they give the chance to Yavana this time, the next game is going to take on the north after all, and certainly I don't think Solas would be the best replacement.
I would LOOOOOOVVVVEEEEE Yavana to be given a chance for once I mean she's pretty important to move over Morrigan.
But ONLY IF I can steal her robe and helmet thing and staff OMG they'd look amazing on my next mage

You don't mean killing her for such things right? I mean, I like her helmet but I wouldn't harm her to take it.

Of course not I must have her in the series alive. Bit idk I'll like give her my shoe or something for trade. I just must have that armor. Hell I'd give her Alistair's head on a shoe if that would get me the armor

Now we have something in common, I also would love if she could summon her Dragon in the middle of the battle.

Wait...Wait...Wait.
For one thing the entire series story revolves around her and she not only the person who links the stories together be she is the nucleus to the stories starting in the first place.
The last thing you can say that she added nothing to the story.

That's something rather related to writers; Leliana, Oghren and Anders had nothing to do with Flemeth.

Are we really wanting to argue that certain choices aren't negated by this device to reunite the narrative fluency of the story?
Unless you follow a certain path
(which is basically not kill Flemeth in DAO,kill the Old god)
your choices will not be permanents and will be modified to emulate that path that you didn't choose.
Not really you must remember what type of world that Dragon Age is placed in. It's placed in a unpredictable world where things can rapidly change from day to day. Flemeth had already shown a way in which she can revive herself and I'm sure she has multiple people to do it if need be.
It's not that they are negating your choices at all. It's that Flemeth is saying I'd be damned if I die now

Posté 05 septembre 2015 - 12:28
Agree that Flemeth is a device to change some choices, however her means to revive have been explained (unlike others) and I believe we were lucky with the Old God's soul, it's not being destroyed, it's being moved, as Gaider said they can afford the luxury to save some important changes, so all we need now, it's a not so lazy writer that is willing to follow matters like OGS and other things that are being left aside. Are we really wanting to argue that certain choices aren't negated by this device to reunite the narrative fluency of the story?
