Hello everyone. I am entirely new to the forums, and I've got questions!

Well, really just one question to begin with, but I'm sure I'll find more in time.

See, I'm a DM on a splendid persistent world called "Tales of Moonsea - The herald of Chaos" And I've been wondering, and searching, in vain, if there's a way to change a character's Deity. Any answers would be much appreciated.

I know almost zero about DM'ing and its technical capabilties, with that said

compile this script, then right-click target and run it from the console

// 'change_deity'

void main(string sDeity)
{
    object oTarget = GetPlayerCurrentTarget(OBJECT_SELF);
    SetDeity(oTarget, sDeity);
}
eg
rs change_deity("Chauntea")

note, there's no validity-check on the input. ie, make sure the deity's name is correct. You might have to set things up with the server to run scripts like that.

The character's deity can also be changed by editing their .Bic in the character vault, but i imagine you're looking for an in-game solution.

You might also run into problems changing the deity of divine spell casters if the character's alignment isn't compatible. The next time they go to level up there's a chance they'll be prompted to choose a new deity that *is* compatible with their alignment.
