The anchor is the orb. Why else would Coryphesheet bother to go after Inky in Haven.

No the Anchor is something Cory created to get into the City
The Orb is what Solas gave him because he could not use it himself

The orb granted the Anchor. Cory goes to haven to try and get if off inky (how that would work) finds it's bonded and all that power he used is wasted.

The Orb is a foci, like the staff.

Why would C attack Haven if not to get back whatever it is Inky stole from the orb.

Yeah but the orb is not the Anchor. The orb granted the Anchor. So the Anchor is not broken.

Which is pretty much what I stated the last page.

You said that the Anchor is the orb. But it isnt, the orb is just the delivery mechanism.

Presumeably the orb can do other things. Or maybe it is just to give someone fade opening powers.

I said the anchor stole some of the power from the orb - essentially breaking it for Corypheus.

He went back to get the Anchor which is something different than the Orb.

As he said he constructed the Anchor and the Anchor attached it's self to The Inquisitor at the Conclave. An Cory was gonna use the Anchor to get back to the City to do whatever.

Cory was able to re open the breach with the orb (at a very suicidal level), so no the orb was not broken until the Inquisitor used it to completely closed the breach for good and dropped it.

I never liked Solas. Something always felt wrong about him/his sympathetic feeling towards demons and spirits. It's important to note that Fen'Harel was probably not originally a trickster god. The info from the Temple of Mythal suggests that he was originally a god of rebellion, and only became synonymous with deceit after the fall of Arlathan.

Nope, Solas says as much when he tells the Inquisitor in Haven that he hopes they discover/recover the device that caused the explosion.

I wonder when the Anchor will kill the Inquisitor. It was said it was killing him, at the start of the game. After that it wasn't mentioned again.

The anchor was spreading before the first major tear was closed at the Temple of Sacred Ashes. When you close it at the beginning of the game, Cassandras says it has stopped spreading so at least you aren't dying anymore.

I think that was a real miss story-wise which is why in Trespasser it looks like something has happened to activate the anchor again and Inky loses control of it putting her life in danger again.

Sigh think of the orb like a battery which solas couldnt unlock. The anchor is a magic cory crafted, but which needed a lot of power to initiate IE the orb. Solas was hoping cory would unlock his battery for him and die in the process.

So again orb=power battery, anchor=cory's spell which used the said battery to cast. Cory uses the orb (battery) to super charge his spells and magic.

Solas is worst trickster god ever. He wanted trick Cory to open Orb and die, failed. Flemeth knew Solas is coming.

Solas want open fade he actually tells you in game. He is fascinated about fade he want's to restore what's lost

"Imagine if spirits were not a rarity but a part of our natural world like... a fast-flowing river. Yes, it can drown careless children, but it can also carry a merchant's goods or grind a miller's flour. That is what the world could be if the Veil were not present. For better or worse."

So basically Solas want same think as Cory remove veil. Except Solas is good, he don't want become god and people die.

He gave Cory orb to open it because he can't. Solas fought explosion would kill Cory, and it did, but one small problem Cory is immortal. So he joined Inquisition to fix his mess.

"No real god need prove himself. Anyone who tries is mad or lying."

1. Flemythal send something through eluvian, maybe part of her or her soul to Morrigan.

2. Most likely Solas took raw power from Mythal what's left of her. Maybe she gave it freely or Solas steal it we don't know much speculations not much facts.

Plotting.jpg

Yep. He has an unusual passion in his voice when he speaks of the Veil to the Inquisitor. He wants to do away with the Veil. He may infact be the person who put it there in the first place? As far as I know, it's hinted that it's not a natural part of the world and is man/elven made.

I understand that Solas was the Dread Wolf Elven god, Fen'Harel, and in a fantastic stroke of poor judgement gave his orb to Corypheus because he couldn't activate it, but there's a couple things I don't understand.

1, assuming he planned on getting it back after Corypheus activated the orb, what did Solas intend to do with it?

2, what happened at the end with Flemmeth/Mythal? Did she take over his body or did he absorb her into his to increase his power?

Well yes I think evryone has questions myself included. I've not romanced him but hopefully we'll get answers to our questions during the Trespsser DLC when it's released.

Why do so many people believe that Solas wants to release the elven gods? Did I miss something? He seems regretful, sure, but to release them would be a suicide

Solas regret closing  elven gods he think he helping but he just made it worse. And how releasing 7 people is suicide. Ok Solas/Cory alone destroyed world so you may have point.

Welcome to the aftermath! We are all kind of hoping the final DLC answers some questions though Solas is probably here to stay for the long run~

Unknown at this point.

The game's files for that scene say Solas stole Flemeth's power, leaving that body a husk.

I'm tempted to start another game and try his romance.

I do want to try the mage.
