With the latest patch, Necromancer is now getting some well deserved love. However, the fundamental issue with Necromancers is their mana regeneration. Now if you have Death Syphon you do get some mana back but it is not very much.

As such, what are the ways one can use to compensate for the lack of mana regeneration for Necromancers ? So far I have only come across enchantments the reduce spell costs but that's it. Is there anything else ?

Cheers.

Winters stillness is always a option you could also have your mage or a companion speced for rejuvenating barriers as well.

This.  I always put Winter's Grasp on Dorian and give him the Winter Stillness passive.  Comes in handy since he tends to park it in one spot and cast. I never take it for my mages since I tend to move around the battlefield too much.

Mana Surge can help by giving you a free spell fairly regularly. Plus the freeze effect is nice too.

Going Inferno can help with your mana budget, because other than Flashfire (which I skip) its spells are a nice cheap 35 mana.

actually winter stillness is canceled by mines (both ice and fire), and energy barrage, and possibly other spells, and as far as I know rejuvenating barriers only affects the mage who cast it.

Rejuvenating barriers should effect everybody according to the description. Though I've seen people say it only works for barriers cast by the mage in question

 "NECROMANCY!!"

^ That has been my cry since the game launched. I love this 'spec.

When my Inquisitor completed the training, I was psyched like Gascard DuPuis touring the Nevarran necropolis -- LOL!

Take Fade Step and get the upgrade that gives you 25 mana back for each enemy you pass through. With the new horror upgrade, terrify, that keeps enemies in place it should be easy to clip 2 or more for a 50 mana boost every time Fade Step is off cool down. Played with it on my necro and KE and my mana issues were all but non-existent. You do give up the 'escape' portion of fade step if your burning it every cool down for mana (and I didn't honestly, the gains are so nice that I would use it really only on a burst of abilities).

Just my two cents. It easily fixes the mana issue of necros but it might not be your playstyle.

Wow, necromage does some really crazy damage now.

I literally could not see the groups of enemies while fighting them because they were covered in the hit-points that pop up when you damage them.

Off the top of my head...

Ice: Winter's Grasp (+Ruin), Mana Surge, Winter Stillness

Fire: Immolate (+Wild Fire), Flash Fire, Clean Burn

Lightning: pretty much everything excepting that little 'Bolt power in the middle

Necro: Horror(+dmg buff), -- all passives -- Walking Bomb(... I forgot which upgrade I chose but I think the newer one)

(I also have Spirit Mark but will be the first to tell you it is a luxury/novelty power you can easily do with out. I just enjoy "pet" powers)

No spirit tree, useful though it is. Just bring along another mage with those skills.

Between WS, FF, CB, and DS, I get mana back really quickly to keep spamming spells (mostly lightning and walking-bomb).

Lots of AoE damage, too, and usually within a Static Cage -- hence the hit-point fireworks.

I do not have Haste but I could see the value in it.
