Hey Guys,

I wanted to pass something by you and find out whether this already came up in the forums as I'd be interested to take part in the discussion:

There's been some discussion on whether or not the original crew from ME3 are part of ME: Andromeda and if so - how they would even get to the galaxy.

So I went through the ME3 ending again and stumbled upon this:

As the Normandy escapes the blast...

...apparently some kind of rift is opened...

...upon further inspection you can clearly see that this rift seems to lead to another part of the universe.
You can see there is a clear difference because of the way that the stars zoom by the Normandy on the right side of the screen, but are completely static on the left side of the screen (the other end of the rift)...

Here's a closer view:

The next bit is a little far fetched however I also noticed that the trees in the ME3 ending and the jungle planet in the Andromeda Trailer are similar.

Whether or not this particular observation is correct, the rift pictured above (in my opinion at least) would be a plausible explanation of how the Normandy got to the Andromeda System (if it did).

Thoughts?

If this has already been discussed I'd be helpful for a link.

That's the (virtually) mass-free space corridor created by the relay collapsing because of the relay's destruction. These mass relays operate in the Milky Way and Joker most likely used the address of another known Milky Way relay as a destination. When the relay was destroyed, de corridor began to collapse from one end. What you see there, is normal space inside our galaxy, probably about halfway to the destination relay, maybe in an unexplored part of the galaxy.

The stars "standing still" in the rift while the stars zooming in the corridor could be because of the Lorentz transformation, as compared to those stars, the Normandy moves incredibly fast.

Also, they stated there won't be any cameos from the trilogy.

No dev has said officially and directly that there won't be any cameos from the trilogy.

But yeah, this is a stupid theory. If you have EC installed you see the Normandy leave that planet and the crew go back to living "normal" lives in the Milky Way.

Joker likely wouldn't have had a choice about that. You can choose multiple destinations from a secondary relay like Charon, but they're all relatively close, and it's inconceivable that they wouldn't all have been explored by that time.. There are several primaries in Arcturus, which is one relay jump away, but primaries always have only a single known destination. Since human practice before the FCW was to open new relays, all of those would have been explored too. Normandy would have had to travel a lot to get to someplace where there was a relay with an unknown destination.

It kinda reminded me of this post http://forum.bioware...t-thread/page-1

If you choose the synthesis ending (not sure why you would) you see that the leaves and the crew have been affected by the fusion between synthetic and organic, which only happened in our galaxy.

The refund guy? Yes please! Watching him beg for a refund for another decade would be awesome, though a bit cruel.

Ha. Yes he did. Doesn't mean he can't buy other products and try to return them :)
