I'd say 4/10 for the fact that it's a little weak and lazy, but I suppose I'll boost that for the fact that it hits a reliably sensitive nerve in the fanbase.
Still, it hits it weakly and lazily, so...5/10.

The most common example from that particular telemetric info dump is, "82% of Mass Effect 3 players are male," which is not a valid conclusion.
Well, yeah, real number is probably higher.

After ME3 had been out for five months only 42% of players had completed the game. So Bioware could pander to the 58% that didn't by not bothering with an ending. This would also conveniently avoid any possibility of people disliking the ending. So win/win.

I hope they don't pander too much to the crowd. I kind of feel like there's always this fan group that wants every species to be a squad mate. I'm not putting down these characters, but EDI, Javik and Legion felt like pandered characters to me.
I feel like EDI should have remained an AI on the Normandy, Javik should have not been introduced just to please the Porthean Squadmate crowd, and Legion makes the Geth feel like a very less intimidating enemy. To a certain extent, introducing the leviathans as still alive and the creators of the reapers felt like pandering just explain the origins of the reapers. In a way I wanted to know, but I didn't at the same time. The mystery is now lost.
My biggest fear for ME:A is that if there is a sequel, we're going to end up with a 'Remnant' squadmate at some point. I fee like converting past enemies into squadmates cheapens the whole 'villian' experience. I kind of want a 'frightening' villian to stay a villan, know what I mean?
All that being said, I thought the core of the leviathan DLC was good, and actually enjoyed Javik's character, so from time to time some pandering does surprise me.

How about no pandering at all?
They blew the entire SP DLC budget make fancervix to attempt to unfuck the endings, that gate can never be closed.
male
80% and 92% are different numbers.

And there I thought, there were other DLCs, like Omega or Leviathan or Citadel...

Only 18% female Shep? While I personally hardly ever do a femshep playthrough, that seems kind of low. I wonder how that accounts for people with both, or does it count multiple characters per user?
Why is that hard to believe? You have to account for the average "dudebro" type of player who plays videogames. The BSN/Internet Gaming community does not equate to the entire gaming community. While female Shepard might have been popular here on the forums, that does not mean that the popularity extends to EVERYONE who bought the game.
People forget this.

I'm talking about Citadel.
What we got was very very different than Xen attempting to take over the citadel from the inside using legions of reaperized Geth, and is utter and total fancervix.

I seem to recall those stats were gathered from players 1st playthrough only. If so it might be awfully misleading. Maybe a dev could confirm/deny that.

Going by this, they should clearly pander to fans of Liara and the asari before all else.
The Asari are great so im all for this.

Soldier's the only class than can bust 2.5K damage every 1.5 seconds, a majority of the insanity finishes are probably soldiers.

You mean being used as a squadmate? How popular would she be if Kaidan, Ashley and Tali were available for the whole game as squadmates and she is only available after the coup?
I would like to see them post the numbers for what ending was picked

That might be true, but it's still a lot higher than the others those who pick Soldier are most likely more casual (CoD) and could be new to the series.

Not really. Logically, and before I go ahead with this post (DISCLAIMER: I'M NOT A 'SJW'):
More options, more variety for different people = more sales. Unless of course some self entitled shithead finds it so offensive to his/her beliefs that they will stop buying.. but they won't. Instead they will come to these boards and complain relentlessly, whilst still playing the game ![]()

I've yet to hear any one argue for less options.
