From what I see, I would say close to 50% of people just play Ghost.  I've been really getting into the game again and its getting pitiful.  I mean yes, I play the Ghost too.  Great character, but almost every room and they play him until they go......lol.  There are a lot of good characters in the game and there are many to choose from.  It's ok to play something else and get better.

Yeah, all-biotic boom brigades are ever so much fun   If I'm the only engineer in an otherwise biotic lobby, I'll switch to an asari.  But if the lobby is a complete mix without any obvious synergy, I'll just play whatever.

When people join your lobby do you change your character to better fit the team?

If there's an Adept I might restrain myself from using disruptor ammo.

everyone should like being deeply penetrated by quarian things that also explode. Those people are just trying to help spread quarian love, even in their ignorance of how quarian guns work.

OT: Play a team that has 4 quarians, one of them being myself.

When I am playing as an Adept, I just save everyone else the trouble & use Disruptor ammo on my own gun.

If someone chooses geth as an enemy, I will probably use the Salarian infiltrator w disruptor ammo.

 

If I see someone has an Asari adept (warp/stasis/throw), I might choose the Justicar.

 

If someone chooses the fury (not IA) and they have low challenge points I will choose a crutch character.

For all biotic teams I switch without hesitation. Otherwise, meh. Most pugs lean on tech abilities whose explosions I don't feel are worth accommodating. If I'm playing with a friend who takes snap freeze or flamer I may bring an overload or sabotage character, respectively. But I will ****** relentlessly if it's an incendiary reegar AIU because that person has no interest in playing a team game. I typically go out of my way to not be antagonistic to pugs but I invoke the wrath of Kalross on those whose cheese smells that bad.

I have so few characters unlocked that... yeah, I'm either a Human Vanguard or a Quarian Infiltrator. Those are my options (sooometimes human soldier if I'm feeling snipery). Playing pretty exclusively in Bronze PUGs so I don't think it matters much at all - a very exclusive way of playing, I know

No, but for some reason, the avi automatically turned. Apparently BSN doesn't have an option to turn it around. It is completely possible that I missed it.

 

I'd imagine that I'd have to rotate the picture 90 degrees counterclockwise for it to show up w the correct orientation.

I typically enter lobbies with a clear idea of what I feel like playing, provided I have the equipment to make it somewhat acceptable. Considering this is typically HumSol ConcSpam, in lobbies generally filled with Incin ammo or cryo abilities, I don't think anyone has a problem with a free 2sec-detonate bot tagging along.
