I suspect that Orlais retakes possession of Skyhold. It did after all belong to them and they were only loaning it to the Inquisition.
Skyhold better be fully repaired in Trespasser

Well, she obviously benefitted from Antivian tailoring during her short time in the Skyhold gardens.
If a few extra pockets sewn by those wizardy craftsmen enable my Inquisitor to potentially carry 90 sets of full platemail armor, the lass should be able to shoulder a slightly oversized mirror.
I just KNOW it, it isn't actually them. The Antivan tailors are actually only one person - Hermione Granger.

Shhh, you're forgetting the part where nobody gave a damn about Skyhold for a couple centuries.

Actually an Orlesian was trying to tell us he was loaning Haven to the Divine Justinia's Conclave but he didn't actually have a claim on the place because it was in Ferelden, not Orlais. No-one actually claims the Skyhold ruin.

That's right. For some reason I was remembering that Orlesian telling us the Keep belonged to him and he would loan it to us. After doing some research, yep nobody other than the Inquisition has a claim to it. Now I wonder what happens to it.

Not sure how she's lugging the thing about though
Woah, wait, not to derail the topic but in my slide Kieran, or whatever his name was, isn't shown. Played through a few times and always had just Morrigan.

Like other sensible persons she sent her more massive belongings on ahead by cart or something.

Ok I got to think and now I got to wondering where she got the eluvian from. I guess she probably just brought one she came out. I really wished we had more insight on what Morigan did right after witch hunt. I know it be hard but I really want a book or short story on what she did between DAO and DAI

She finds one in Serault in The Last Court. Presumably, this is the same one.

Are we talking about the eluvian at Skyhold? Because I got the impression that it was always there, covered in a sheet gathering dust. You can go in that room before she reveals it and it's there covered in a sheet, like everything else in the room. Looks like the past occupants just tossed stuff in there and forgot about it.

I'm pretty sure the Eluvian that Morrigan brought to Skyhold is the same one from her spooky hidden liar in the Winter Palace. Since its featured in the trailer, I presume she brought it back to the Winter Palace at some point. Or someone else did. So there's no eluvian at Skyhold anymore.
The reason I'm pretty certain its hers and not just a random one that was at Skyhold is due to 2 things:
1) Every eluvian needs a specific key to function.
2) She specifically says when you talk to her that she obtained this one "through great sacrifice" /struggle/whatever specific word she uses. Basically, she found it and either retrieved/restored it.
You all remember all those notes about how they didn't want to mess with the foundation of Skyhold too much for fear of destabilizing it? Hee, maybe thats exactly what they did and it crumbled to the ground. So now we're the hobo inquisition.

Citation needed. None of the lore in the game suggests it belongs to Orlais, and there is plenty of banter in the War Room and while walking the ramparts that suggest otherwise...

Honestly, I'm scared that the reason we're lodging in the Winter Palace and why we won't see Skyhold is because something terrible happens to Skyhold at the beginning of Trespasser.

Pretty sure skyhold will be the first place the quanari take through the eluvian
All the more reason to send all the oxmen to their fiery graves. I might have to roll a mage just so I can do this with Inky's bare hands.

To be fair, they gave us '2 years+' with Skyhold. ![]()
I can even do Jaws of Hakkon pretending that's part of the first year, and Descent pretending that's part of the second ![]()
Kinda weird to have companions around but whatever - I can just ignore exploring Skyhold once at post-game.

I'd be fine with that to be honest.
I really hope the next game either goes the way of Hawke or the Warden. We either go back to having a party camp (Which was the best version for me) or eventually end up with a modest House.
Skyhold is a beautiful place, and after the Inquisition has finished with it, it should either return to the forgotten parts of time, or perhaps destroyed.
It's a shame there was never a letter in the Inquisitor's room of the previous occupants. That would of been a nice touch. I'm still trying to find out if the Halla statue is from someone I saved at Haven, or left behind by the last inhabitants!

In a way that would be quite good, because it shows that the main threat of the DLC is serious business.

I think its because they haven't use all the potential of the Skyhold. What a GREAT idea and what a wonderful, incredible image, but than .....
..... you can't really do a lot there. Even in your own room you need mods to chance something. They could make a little bit "Sims into DAI".
Of course a lot of people would cry "Wahhh how could you, thats Sims, thats horrible, be more like The Witcher!!" (
insider joke
it's really just a joke!). But: To play a role means sometimes to play the heros life beside fighting, in "real life", too (some people likes it, other not) - with eating, sleeping, living, friednship, romance and so one. It's a part of the life of a hero. The question is: Does Bioware want this part in his games - yes or no. But not halfway like now, please.
I would say: Bioware: MAKE IT! If you do it, you will be the only Offline RPG who cares about this part seriously. But if you do it, do it right.
Skyhold is after my personal opinion an WOW-idea of Bioware (again, they have so many stunning ideas!) whitch was done just halfway. ![]()
And now ... they even deleted "our home". And than everybody at Bioware wonders: How horrible this players are .... we gave them sutch a great story but they are still crying about this stupid Skyhold ..... They want that we "feel" our character, that we love our companions, they want that we love Skyhold and than .... they take it away and wonder why we hate them. Hrhrhr ![]()
