I'd be fine with that to be honest.

I really hope the next game either goes the way of Hawke or the Warden. We either go back to having a party camp (Which was the best version for me) or eventually end up with a modest House.

Skyhold is a beautiful place, and after the Inquisition has finished with it, it should either return to the forgotten parts of time, or perhaps destroyed.

It's a shame there was never a letter in the Inquisitor's room of the previous occupants. That would of been a nice touch. I'm still trying to find out if the Halla statue is from someone I saved at Haven, or left behind by the last inhabitants!

I want a City Quarter in Tevinter...

Not as large scale of a thing as Skyhold and the Inquisition, but potentially with more gameplay and roleplay depth than DAI anyway.

More than a party camp and more than a nice house, but 'less' than a large fortified castle with influence over two regions.

I wouldn't mind if the DA games went kinda back and forth on scale, while ultimately getting bigger/more unique over time (btw I'm not saying we become emperor of everything, but more that we never have another setting as simple as a small campsite, that's all; instead, I can see things like a Dragon Age where we even go up to being a manipulator of the Fade, or spy with a network across Thedas - both of these still being of smaller scale at 'home', but with large, if abstract, reach)

I think its because they haven't use all the potential of the Skyhold. What a GREAT idea and what a wonderful, incredible image, but than .....

..... you can't really do a lot there. Even in your own room you need mods to chance something. They could make a little bit "Sims into DAI".

Of course a lot of people would cry "Wahhh how could you, thats Sims, thats horrible, be more like The Witcher!!" ( ;) insider joke ;)  it's really just a joke!). But: To play a role means sometimes to play the heros life beside fighting, in "real life", too (some people likes it, other not) - with eating, sleeping, living, friednship, romance and so one. It's a part of the life of a hero. The question is: Does Bioware want this part in his games - yes or no. But not halfway like now, please.

I would say: Bioware: MAKE IT! If you do it, you will be the only Offline RPG who cares about this part seriously. But if you do it, do it right.

Skyhold is after my personal opinion an WOW-idea of Bioware (again, they have so many stunning ideas!) whitch was done just halfway. :(

And now ... they even deleted "our home". And than everybody at Bioware wonders: How horrible this players are .... we gave them sutch a great story but they are still crying about this stupid Skyhold ..... They want that we "feel" our character, that we love our companions, they want that we love Skyhold and than .... they take it away and wonder why we hate them. Hrhrhr ;)

.

For me its more that they put stuff in and it seems it won't be explored.

Is the jail even used?

What's that library for?

I built a mage tower, but is it just to look pretty?

etc etc etc

Seriously! I hope they patch that bloody hole in the wall on the way to the War Counsel Room...  and I would love to see them use the bedroom more.  Loved that they put the wardrobe in there now how about a book shelf for books or even an extra stash there or something?  Or a place to display some of those trinkets you pick up.  Like even in ME3 you could put things in your room and have pets...like the fish and the hamster. LOL

If they show Skyhold at all they better spruce the place up as it ahs been 2 years. The large puddle in the courtyard, the rotten wood in many of the towers, and finally the loose stone work on the way to the War Room and in the Main Templar/Mage Tower better be gone.

I don't know how much they wanted to throw into the Trespasser DLC but breathing some more life into Skyhold before the last hurrah would be pleasant.

The jail is used if you imprison people in it when you judge them and you can pay them a visit and listen to them talking to each other. Not all the people you can judge have an option to be thrown in the Skyhold cells but I've got a handful of people down there, even though the jailer keeps saying I must be either brilliant or nice because she doesn't have any prisoners to look after. Helloo-ooo, see Lucius Erimond over there in the cell literally right behind you? No, oh well, it's not like I particularly wanted him fed anyway but I'd intended a little humanity towards the others.

As far as I can tell the mage/templar tower really is just for looks and a lot of the other little spaces like the old library and some of the rooms are just places to look in for loot and one or maybe two Skyhold fetchquests. I agree it'd be nice if there was a little more to it (and I'd really like that door in the garden to open - what's in there and why can't I get in it?) but I'd settle for someone sweeping up the cobwebs down in the library and picking up the bricks in the war room corridor. Come on, for Andraste's sake, am I the only person in Thedas who's even heard of occupational health and safety?

Here is a (older) Twitter message about Skyhold:

Mark Darrah: http://dragonage.wik...iki/Mark_Darrah   (Copy from DA Wiki: Mark Darrah is the Executive Producer of the Dragon Age franchise.)

He tells here in Twitter that Skyhold will NOT be part of Trespassers. And so I don't thinlk they will do further patches with "our home" anymore: https://twitter.com/...804498510069761

    :( :(

I have to quote myself:

No one I jail appears there, maybe a bug? I dunno.

I'm actually one of those who aren't as annoyed by the brick stuff as other things. I figured it was a very intentional thing to show how 'Skyhold' is a such shaky ground (an elven temple?) that you don't want to mess with it.

But yes, I feel there's a whole step to Skyhold-occupying missing after the 2nd Warden/Orlais main quest.

They only appear after sentencing (you have to actually choose to put them in the dungeon).

Lord Trifles can also appear down there, and one cell is dependent on your choice to aid the mages or templars (it can either be one of the templars or Erimond).

It's also been suggested that the library was Morrigan's original haunt, but nobody could find her down there, so she was moved to the garden (but I'm not sure if that's true).

The other stuff is likely a combination of time and the old consoles.
