Anyway, if they wanted to enforce a sharing mentality they would have mandated that any derived works be licensed under some non-commercial GPL-like license. It's up to people to want to share - and going at each other's throats won't help.

I recall some article or interview with John Carmack basically mentioning something similar about releasing their older engines under the GPL - that id software did most of the work anyway, but that's not a big revelation here either.

Petehog just admitted to trying to pass off Bioware's work as his own when he talked about not being willing to give out "his" MRH files for "his" MOR files.

His MRH and MOR files are just tweaks to Bioware's base head meshes.  When he says he doesn't want others to tweak his work to claim it as their own, he is describing exactly what he has done.

Just find out how to edit character's eyebrow.



1. Open the mor file with Toolset

2. Change the values of 10 and 11 under MORPH_TINTFILENAMES.

With a standalone GFF editor, either the one included with the toolset (GffEditor.exe) or pyGFF - http://social.biowar...m/project/1936/

Custom texture or custom tint? For the latter, open the morph in the toolset or standalone GFF editor and look under MORPH_TINTFILENAMES and #2 should be the eyes tint - t3_eye_XXX (using vanilla tint files). Just replace that with your tint's filename.

If you do mean an actual texture, that will require a new eyes model, unless you want that texture to be used for every person in the game. You'd need your custom eye model (required for each race/sex) which points to a custom MAO which then lets you specify your custom texture. To save yourself some time, you can use an existing set of custom UV mapped eyes that I made - http://social.biowar...t_file_id=10531 Just extract the archive to your Override folder. Go into the textures folder and open pn_eye_dp02_0d.dds - edit it to whatever style of eye you want and save. Now in the morph, look under MORPH_PARTS and #1 should list the eye model in the format of XX_uem_basa_0 where XX is the race and sex (e.g. EF for Elf female, HM for Human male, etc.). Change that to XX_uem_dp02_0, replacing XX with the appropriate race and sex ID.

It sucks when people steal your work and claim ownership. I've seen that kind of **** that have taken money for stuff originally released for free. But know this, someone or yourself will know and you can easily prove you're the first by comparing release dates and such and the person will be getting a lot of justified hate.

how do i change the color of skin in a .mor file? the only way i used the gff editor until now is extracting textures for tmp7704s grey warden armor...
edit: ok i get it but which value(s) should i change to change the color of the skin?

I'm not sure what model slot #4 is used for. I can't find any vanilla MOR that uses it, nor am I able to generate one from the toolset morph editor. Perhaps there is some additional option in the game's character creator?
