Wow, that was as disappointing as the hair.

Just because I'm a female gamer does not mean I only want my characters to look and dress like a man.

I understand there are those who prefer to have short hair and pants, and I fully support this, however there are just as many of us that want long hair and a dress or skirt. Even if it was a matter of creating similar armors for both male and female, why didn't you make one a kilt?

Between this and your choices for DLC - I'm starting to feel like I am being punished for playing your games.  It is starting to come across as the PC character must look worse than any other character in game, and we only make DLC for those who like to play on hard or nightmare difficulty, so don't bother purchasing it.

DLC should be accessible to all at their preferred difficulty. I do not comprehend the logic behind these choices.

I only ever really play the game on casual because A) I'm more interested in the story than the combat, and B ) Despite being a life long gamer I suck pretty hard at actually playing games. Just did Descent and JoH and enjoyed both. Somewhat harder than the main game but JoH is meant to be something done at a high level and Descent scales with you so I'm not really seeing your issue with the DLC.

Trousers are a lot easier to do than skirts and kilts.

I am very happy with both the new wardrobe option and even the Gold Nug cross save collection bin, although I wish they had included the mosaic pieces into the mix because those are a tad annoying to find. I just love strutting about Skyhold in my gold dress uniform which I keep wearing as I sit on my gold Andrastian Throne.

I've said this a couple of times, and I'll say it again here:

There's an awful lot of gender-neutrality in Inquisition. So much so that it can hurt the player experience, especially when it comes to customization.

What I mean when i say that is, in several instances, Bioware took the middle ground in terms of character appearances and customization. Nothing too masculine, nothing too feminine. Most everything is squarely in the middle, safe and inoffensive.

For example; The Orlesian ball? Put everyone in gender-neutral red pantsuits. :P

Now, with the Skyhold outfits options. As grateful (and I am terribly grateful) as I am to have options outside of those dreaded pajamas, everything is still gender-neutral.

I don't know if this running trend throughout the game was born of a desire to not offend anyone, or if it was simple easier to use these models. Thing is, as the OP says, it limits player customization.

As appreciative as I am, and many others are, of Bioware not forcing all players into either dresses or tuxedos, it'd be nice to have those options.

A dress and long hair for male characters would be nice, too.... I like to play feminine guys in video games. That's why I always liked Fable. You could give your character the outfits and hairstyles you want. You had long and short hair and trousers and skirts/dresses for female AND male characters. It was great.
