A smart game studio, knowing their target markets will make suitable character decisions. So far, the Bio formula is working. EA's focus is to increase market share by going into mobile gaming.... eventually we will see smart phones, tablets, PC and consoles playing the same MMO game(s).  Accessibility is key here.

Will a EU  character really help with the above market strategy, I ask?

I do not care where where the human is from, but I do like French and Australian accents. Not that anything is wrong with other accents. (^:

Regardless, I love diversity in general, so feel free to mix it up, BioWare.

They should definitely do characters like Dr. Zelenka (SG: Atlantis). I've nearly pissed my pants laughing everytime he started cursing in Czech.

Speaking of French accents, I think Bioware should totally bring back Corinne Kempa (Leliana) and Stephane Cornicard (Riordan/Stroud) to voice characters in Andromeda.

I miss Dr. Chloe Michel. In every play-through I had for Mass Effect 3, she was my ships doctor.

Her VA also voiced Tevos. If I hadn't looked at the cast list for the ME games I'd have never guessed those two characters shared the same actress.

She seems fairly versatile, so I'd be totally in favor of Bioware bringing her back.

More Asians too. Were there any in the games other than Kasumi and Kai Leng?

Sure, I wouldn't mind a Scandinavian squad-member... preferably female..  -_-

And I would totally be willing to lend my voice and image if they wanted a male character from the Netherlands(not Hell.. Holland)!

Kaidan also, though it wasn't entirely obvious. I believe he was supposed to be mixed Ukranian/Singaporean.

There were a couple minor characters as well. Ethan Jeong, Fai Dan, Emily Wong, and Maeko Matsuo.

No offense, but please BioWare, don't. Most of my fellow Dutchmen (and women) sound like dung when they speak English. And then there is the ''Spring is in the air.'' ''Why should I?'' thing.

You know what, that would actually be hilarious.

Will I you is effe vertelling, mijn English is very goed. I don't have one of those extremely Dutch accents.

Did you play the Witcher 3? If so, did you also cringe at the Chamberlain (or whatever he was called) in the Palace of Vizima? Totally Dutch.

Like I mentioned in my original post, it doesn't have to be full on accented English, with a few words of ones language thrown in. It can be just something material, or where they were born, when you talk to them, or just in their name.

Lotte Verbeek barely has any accent when she speaks English.

Well, people write what they know. And most (if not all) of the writing team is Canadian or American (honestly they could all be Canadian, not sure). When the team tries to go outside their comfort box they end up leaning towards stereotype and cliche (see: Kasumi and Kai Leng). So... not sure I would encourage them to do that.

I vote our equivalent of Ken and Gabby's bickering this game be a Dane and a Swede instead.

Just to show that our relationship has gone absolutely nowhere in 200 something years.

Okay but that means it's just veiled flirting and you'll eventually hook up ;)

I'd love to see characters like Mjoll The Lioness or Aela The Huntress. A Dutch baker would be nice in addition, warriors have to eat too.  =]

Did he mention it in ME3 at all?

Yeah, but that doesn't compansate Louis van Gaal. https://www.youtube....h?v=IjQpx5FZAUA https://www.youtube....h?v=FVVkBr_Cgwk

He is hilarious.

Did you play the Witcher 3?

That's the only game from the Witcher trilogy I haven't played yet...

You can write about something you don't know with some understanding and research, but it would be more likely to work with the story set on earth. Would it be interesting in this case?

I wouldn't favour strong accents either, it possibly just pinpoints the character being a bit foreign in that setting, especially with aliens around being heard speaking english. (Slight accent can be charming, and unavoidable, and people just have different habits to speak anyway, there doesn't need to be a story behind it every time. Though english ain't my 1st language so english accents are mostly something lost on me...) People living in space colonies and Citadel have likely developed their own slang instead of reminding of specific earthly countries too closely.

I'd like to see more variance among npcs, since they're not all going to look like same anyway. I'd love to hear more countries mentioned because some of us are left out so often - that's just not something I'd like the writers to concentrate on very long and hard, when there are other curious matters and species (and personalities) you wouldn't find in other/most games to think about. If anything, I'd like canadians to be represented a lot. I don't know much of the country though, it seems relatable enough, and it's always nice when author can provide authentic viewpoint. USA is a cool country of course, but others should serve as the "default" sometimes too. (I don't really care for nationalism, but I don't mind each series having some quirks.)

He says it at the beginning of Priority: Earth, right after Shepard is saved.
