My Dear this war gets us no where as mages. It only causes people to fear magic and us even more and not in the good way. Magic is meant to serve man not rule over him remember.

Just because one of my many titles is associated with that of a common material that is placed in the titles of those who believe whole heartily in their abilities and endeavors, whatever they may be. Does not mean I share that person's traits nor their ideals.

And darling no Stalin ever existed in my world here in Thedas, just a wonderful historical fact for you my dear Serza.

Why you want to be Divine Vivienne?

Are you certain this war will never get Mages anywhere? Have you ever thought of a reason? Would your intelligence ever tell you that this may be caused by the people in power?

Magic may not be meant to rule over man, but would you be certain the term to describe the current situation would truly be "servitude" rather than "slavery"?

'Tis a thin line between the two, my dear Madame de Fer.

Does your certainty truly not falter in this matter...?

After all, 'tis a Game we all play...

I wanted Vivienne to become my canon Divine and carefully meta-gamed to achieve that, but Leliana still managed to pull ahead. <_<

My dear the war was caused by years of poorly ran circles and a apostate who decided it right to kill a Grand Cleric and many other innocent people. Hardly a person of power. The war has only killed many on both sides and gotten you no further to your so called freedom you strive for.

And slavery my dear? I don't see them forcing anyone in the circles to do manual labor for the city or make ice for their drinks. So you could hardly say that we are in slaves to anyone but the demons some mates choose to rely upon.

The line may be thin my dear but there is no line in our current situation. Only death and destruction.

Have to say thanks for the help, I thought this game was like DAO in its choice of Divine - ( Bhelen/Harrowmont you could back one then backflip at last second to other); my bad for not looking it up myself. But I'm a glutton for punishment I don't even get the guide until at least a month after I start playing and I never looked on wiki for dragon age info before.

So this thread went bizarre places.

We're bored and waiting for Trespasser. I'm surprised we aren't nuking Edmonton from orbit yet.

This is the game saying you are making a really bad choice, it just chose the superior Divine. You need to accept it, its for your own good.

The reason why the game suddenly starts being realistic about choices in regards to who becomes divine, by not letting Inquisitor make an ultimate decision but merely affect the chess-pieces, is strange. Usually in DA:I and any Bioware game the game keeps forcing every decision on the player character. He decides everything for his friends and superiors, but then suddenly he doesn't because BIoware decided to make it inconsistent.

But he will not see Leliana as Divine in the Trepasser DLC and changing it in the Keep while your game have another Divine is kind of lame.

A related question, does anyone know who gets what approval if you reunite C & B ?

I didn't see that option on wiki.

I think the same as Celene alone and Gaspard dead, so +1 Vivienne.

Yeah, I'll definitely change it for DA4. I'm mostly just upset my meta-gaming failed. I made a chart and everything!

What were your choices?

What were your choices?

- Mages freed (I know this gives lots of points to Leliana, but I calculated that if I do everything else in Vivienne's favor, she should have the most points by the end. I guess I picked the wrong dialogue choices at some point.)

- Celene rules alone, Gaspard spared

- Wardens exiled

Not the best choices for the future of Thedas, surely, but I really want a mage on the Sunburst Throne :D

You forgot the bug that instead of losing 1or 5 points, Leliana gains them instead. Thats why she became the Divine.

What you told Vivienne? Mages need to be in the Chantry, in the Circle or to be free?
What was your choice when you were elected the Inquisitor?
And did you support Vivienne with her war table mission?

Nope, I did account for the bug.

As for your other questions, I picked the ones that garner most points for Viv, and I did support her. I think the problem was some of the conversations with Leliana or Cassandra, I probably chose one of the more anti-Chantry responses by accident.

Trust me, I had a chart.

Did they ever fix the bug with the election, or is it still broken? The wiki notes two bugs exist (Leliana points gain/loss and random mispicks), but does not indicate they have been patched.
