Sooo, is Microsoft still planning the shutdown for 360 support in 2016? And if so, when will they implement it? I am trying to go through the trilogy one last time before the shutdown and I can't play multiplayer anymore on there. I started the first game a couple of weeks ago and it will help a lot if they don't plan to shut down til mid to late 2016.

You can play them beyond 2016 on PC now and on Xbox One thru the Backwards Compatibility Update which is coming this November.

I am buying my xbone on november 10th with Rise of the Tomb Raider
till then I am doing my 360 bucket list...I would think they would be shutting down almost all 360 servers at some point over the next 2 years.. I think at this point in time when the 360 had been out for about 2 years, they began shutting down online for the original xbox ..that makes more sense to me ..and the fact almost all the companies are no longer making new games for the 360

I see. Honestly, I don't see the point why they'd discontinue online functionality on 360 just yet, it's still a widely popular device. I'd say we still have at least 3-5 years left until then.

It's bs. Games are still being released now and future for the 360. It took until last year for the original Xbox's support to be ended. The 360 will be supported for a few more years.
