Ok, so a quick question. Are there any possible ways to side with the Qunari and have Arishok accept you as an ally in DA2?? Cuz I have tried to do right and answer and respond & act as the Qunari demand and I have gotten thrust into war with each play through of this I did?

You can only earn the arishok's respect. in which case, he will duel you after you reach the throne room in the upper city. There's no way to avoid the qunari attacking the city.
