- More Deep Roads please. I love the area. And more darkspawn stuff.
- Don't limit players to 8 ability slots on PC again. Give us an adjustable bar like Origins.
- Let us visit places that we haven't really been to, like Rivain or Tevinter.
- Liked the dragon fights in DAI. More of it please.
- War table was great. More of it please.
- Agent/perk system was good, especially the 4 conversation perks. More of it please.

I just want them to realize that it's not just about telling the story of Thedas, but about telling the story of your own protagonist in that world.
- It has to be personal and you have to care about your character.
If you give your players the ability to make a unique protagonist, you have to give them tons of options. You cannot half-ass the character creator by giving a variety of face options, but then just a few super crappy hairstyles, or not even an individual slider for horns if you play qunari. Those few negative aspects ruin the whole feature, especially if the rest had been high-quality in contrast.
Same thing applies to armor and clothes - if you give me the option to make a new character, I need a variety of options to make them look different. Th crafting system was pretty damn good, but there were too few options in my opinion.
- Your character needs to have a crisis. I didn't care about a lot in inquisition, because Coryfish just seemed so weak. He didn't endanger me at all, there weren't any losses. it just wasn't personal enough for me to care. I think it would be better and easier, if our next protagonist wasn't Jesus 2.0, but a normal person like Hawke. Skyrim-like conversation isn't my favourite thing as well.
- Even side quest should give us the ablitiy to choose. That's what Dragon Age was about in the first place: you get to choose your story.
That said, I'm missing the origins drom DA:O. They were the reason it was so fun to replay the game dozens of times. I don't feel like doing that with inquisition, because race-specific stuff seems so scarce. Individual war table missions just don't do it for me, I would have liked real quests with cinematics concerning my origin.
- I don't care about open world. If I want that, I'll just play Skyrim. DA:I didn't have an open world, and even that was way too large for me. There just wasn't enough content that filled the maps, you're running around for hours because of some stupid errands. It is tiring and not fun. Everytime I look at the map and see that my destination isn't near one of the camps, I'm being filled with rage because it's just so boring.

One thing I really missed was the "defer to companion" option is DA2. That made the party really come alive.

I hated it, because we should get all those well-written War Table missions as a sidequests with multiple choices.
I would think this should be obvious, but... that was never gonna happen. Resource-wise, they aren't even comparable. If those war-table missions hadn't been implemented, it's a whole lot more likely that we would have gotten no quests in exchange.
One thing I really missed was the "defer to companion" option is DA2. That made the party really come alive.
You can do this in several places in DAI.
My idea: Lower the scope. World-ending apocalypse can only be prevented so many times in a few decades before it strains disbelief. It doesn't have to be DA2-small (although I would't mind that either, if they had the time to do it properly this time), but constant escalation just cheapens the setting.

More music. I grew up with RPG's from Japan and nothing makes a game more enjoyable than epic music during a battle (like in DAO/DA2) or softer music in quiet towns, and livelier in cities, or chruch-like music in the Chantry and creepy music for dungeons!

I want to feel like im part of the story, I know all these things about party members but it feels like none of them know me, So maybe personal questions about our PC like josophine asked but have it shape our PC.

1) I'd really like it if the next one had facial recognition from a photo that you upload to the keep- It would be hilariously fun for all the people who try to make their character look like someone in real life.
2) If old and very popular characters are being ressurrected (like Morrigan or Hawke) make them playable as actual characters, not passive.
3) Have more castles, and less looting- but better stuff when looted. I actually really HATE the homing beacon "we should have a look around" it gets so old..
4) More dwarves....there should also be a very awkward romantic option between a male Qunari hero and a male dwarf.......
5) Make things have consequences like they do in real life.... you hook up with one character and another gets hurt and decides to leave your party potentially. Or they decide to backstab you.
6) Why is the unicorn ugly? Can we have a nice one next time.
7) Can we ride a nug- or have a battle nug in the party?
8) More party members to go on quests with, with difficult side quests to gain favor.
9) The best thing in DOA Inquisition are those camps and fast travel points...please keep those.
10) It would be nice if there was an option of finding the armor of the last two or three heros somewhere.
11) Nothing is more droll than having to collect 30 elfroot and 20 bloodstone to fill a requisition.....can that disappear and instead have a battle to get territory which HAS those plants in it? Or at least the option...sigh... /where is that bloody elfroot!/
12) There should be some game plotline where you have to fight one of your former heros, with them actually maxed out at their previous level......this would be a good and very nasty plot turn. Maybe they were corrupted by lyrium, an unknown archdemon, decided to become an old god, etc...

I am actually looking forward to the next game.... here is my thought for the story:
The story should take place 50 years into the future. It is the story of the Elven uprising. You can play as the rebel elf leader, or the newly appointed leader if the Inquisition. It could be done as a series of games if so desired.
My wish and hope is that the Elves would have bodies that weren't really odd and anorexic. CC would stay as is - except people in Thedas citizens are now allowed to have a variety of non-punk/balding hairstyles that flow and move and that actually look like hair. ![]()
All codexes will have easily readable text - even for those who vision is not 20/20 ![]()
The uprising could take place any where in Thedas, except Orlais or Antiva - because the accents and ridiculously annoying cultures would drive me insane, ![]()

2) Go back to the way quests were in both dao and da2. Less fetchy fetch fetch and more good side quests. If this requires you to reduce map size or even thw length of the game, that is fine. 3 deserts aren't necessary. Neither is half the Hinterlands map or these maps with absolutely nothing in them.
3) more death/darker story. The problem with Cory wss that aftrr Haven he gets really dull and boring and looks like a push over. He needed to bust in and kill someone(like a companion) because **** it you pissed him off.
4) Better choices. Things like the burning of amaranthine without the save both option.
5) Better inquisitor(or the new guy i guess) customization. Mainly hairstyles and armor. Also there's no reason to not allow the player to have their character showing any skin.

I think they need to carry on improving the gameplay. Here are some possible directions:
1. Gameplay-narrative. One of the problems in DA series is the lack of connection between the gameplay and the lore. You don't need to be worried about lyrium-addiction as a templar, nor demon-attraction as a mage. You are told the breach is going to swallow the world with demons pouring out, but you just go sightseeing and close some rifts in passing. Every time you need to get used to a new combat system which has changed a lot from sequel to sequel, while the lore is still the lore. They have done well on 'environmental narrative' sometimes in DAI. It's time to improve that.
2. Different gameplay styles other than combat. We have too many 'go and kill' especially in DAI. I would like to interact with the enemies in some different ways, such as talking, sneaking, cheating, allying, etc., just like some old school RPGs. It could be companion-related because we have many companions. For instance, if you have a rogue (or two rogues, or a specific rogue companion) in the party, then you have the choice of stealing from the guy you are talking with.
3. More distinctive combat styles. I believe this is what they try to do. In DAI we have 5 different combat styles which are two-handed weapon warrior, sword&shield warrior, duel weapons rogue, archer, and mage. That's great and they could go further, e.g., make sword striking different from axe/hammer striking.
4. Some tough and interesting battles and bosses. Hunting dragons is great in DAI, but with the thousand cuts, or leap shot & static cage, or knight enchanter, the dragons become too weak, weaking the sense of accomplishment. And I believe everyone welcomes more unique monsters. DA2 did well on that.
Some food for thought.

- If there are on screen approval notices, give us the ability to switch them off.
- More party banter where the player can join in. I love those, but there were so damn few of them.

1. Answer things from previous games. Example: The Architect plot was left. Nathaniel mentions the Wardens have some strange new allies in DA2, and that was left. You did good with this game, but there's a lot of important stuff still unanswered. Like how did Cory reopen the Breach? Why did he need a sacrifice the first time, but not the second? Why do it at the Conclave? Where does Morrigan go after the game?
2. A little more Thedas realism. A mage nukes the chantry ("no compromise" says Anders) and the Conclave blows up (again, compromise), everyone should have been blaming mages left and right. Or at least thinking someone did it to frame mages to make them look bad or something. Instead it was "Templars did it!" "No Mages did it!" But no one said WHY they thought either side did it.
3. Dragons. I liked how there were 10, and 2 (or one) plot one(s) and one in Hakkon, but aside from some flying and having a different element they were all the exact same. Some fighting variety would be nice.
4. I'd like to see Northern Thedas but still know what is going on in Orlais or Ferelden.
5. I think it would be cool, depending on how Trespasser plays out, to be under the Qun the next game and play as the Qunari invading. Why can't we be the bad guys? Or the bad guys to everyone else but from our perspective we're good?
6. Race options back, please.
7. Character specific specilaizations, like in DA2. I really liked that. The only thing that made sense to me was Solas being a Force Rift Mage. Cassandra having Seeker abilities but being a Templar was odd to me.
8. Bring back old characters again. While you like to bring the same ones over and over (Cullen), and I know some people hate this, but for me, seeing old faces helps it make it feel like I'm playing in the same world.
9. As do choices from previous games. Helps feel like the same world. More of these.
10. I know "open world" is the new fad in games currently, but I felt like wandering all those areas was pointless. In Jaws, at least stuff in the area had to do with the plot. In Inquisition I could skip an area and not miss anything relevant.
11. Sidequest choices. There were none in this game.
12. I did however, like that the sidequests felt like stuff Inky should be doing. For example, I didn't like how in Origins people would ask someone who needed to hurry and stop the Blight to clear drunks out of a bar. Or in 2, oh Hawke, you're so important but go here and fetch this for me for no real reason and has nothing to do with anything.
13. No more Hawke like protagonists. Hawke was a glorified errand boy/girl. You saved the city and suddenly people are involving you in political and economical affairs? Champion is a title, not an office. Inky and the Warden actually felt like, for the most part, they were doing what they should be.
14. Go back to Origins' conversation system, but voice it. I loved having control of everything my character said.
15. No more copying from Mass Effect. Example, they did away with talking to shop merchants to buy stuff, then so did DA.
16. A better opening. Like ME, again, your opening was dull. In ME3, I didn't feel like "Oh no, Reapers! The end of the world, noooo!" In this game, I was sooooo disappointed not to see any of the Conclave or see it blow up. I was in the Fade then "oh, this happened." Stop that.
17. Double check your writers. In the flashback in the opening Cory says stuff that later is left out, and he says different things. The Divine helps me in the opening (Its Andraste helping me out of the Fade) but later she dies and I leave the Fade on my own? Made no sense.
18. I'd like the romances to mean something to the MC. It's always what we do for them, never what someone does for us.
19. Better Antagonist. Cory coming back was a surprise to me. But after Haven he was boring and barely a threat.
20. I liked that the mage schematics had armor pieces on it. Or that I could add them. Keep doing that.
21. I felt like crafting was simple, if you bring it back keep it simple. I hate when games have complicated crafting systems. Choose your items and go, I like that.

My biggest wish for DA4:
NO OPEN WORLD! and again, just to make it clear NO OPEN WORLD!
And yes, Witcher 3 was a success, and Fallout 4 will be, but really, the first is a success DESPITE open world, not because. And Fallout will be because Bethesda is doing that since forever , and their games are never really story-centered.
But Bioware should tell us a STORY! And when I look at Witcher 3 even that game suffers in terms of mainstory-telling due to openworld-madness! So please, lets get back to a bit more linear gameplay? Or at least have clear acts. I don't mind a large map per act where we can do stuff that actually matters, but get rid of the filler-quests, give each area a clearly defined story with a start, middle and epic finale with side-quests related to all this, and then let's proceed to the next chapter. And try to tie the main story's urgency into teh story-telling whenever possible
It's also better for balancing to have no open-world, wouldn't you believe it! And if you are at it, Bioware: Limit crafting as well, instead have us find loot that has a soul and story to it!
I am not sure if I am alone in this, but really, I think Open world has become a nuisance by now, and brings nothing of worth for a story-heavy game in my humble opinion. Even Witcher 3 would have been tremendously better off if they had stuck to the Witcher 2 formula instead of jumping the Ubi-Soft Bandwagon...and this counts double for Bioware's open world approach which feels so sterile at moments...

- The war table should stay, but allow us the option to have the war table in the field (at camps) like in the descent DLC. Have war table missions give better rewards to, they always felt a little lacking somehow, we should have gotten something more interesting then a small amount of gold or a valuable.
- I liked the combat in this game but the tactics needed major improvement, perhaps going back to DA2 style or DAO style.
- Get out of Southern Thedas.
- Stop the whole "human noble" thing, let us be someone ordinary. Bring back city elf, keep Qunari perhaps introduce Tal-Vashoth hero.
- I'd like to see the specialization we choose for the next hero have an actual affect on the hero, we become a templar I want to see the effects of Lyrium addiction. Your a blood mage lets see how that can take a toll on the body? If your an assassin perhaps you can gain an infamous reputation. Also bring back blood mage, bring back spirit warrior and bring back the unique specialization trees that our companions had in DA2.
- Bring back being able to speak to our companions like in DA:O or at least allow us to speak to our companions while on the road. It's nice to hear my companions chatter in the background but it'd be nicer if I could jump in once in a while and say something.
- Tie up the previous hero's story lines. I like nod's to the HOF and Hawke but you really didn't need to drag either of them into the DAI story, well maybe hawke but you could have left the HOF alone. Now I need to know why they are wherever they are and somehow that detracted from the Inquisitor's story. Tie up all loose ends and end their stories once and for all!
- A more interesting Protagonist and Antagonist. Cory's appearance in DAI was amazing, his role in the story less then amazing. He was overshadowed by certain events at the end of the story, it never felt like he was a real danger/threat to me. The Inquisitor wasn't allowed to be evil like the HOF or Hawke, it would have been interesting to see the Inquisitor corrupt the new Inquisition. I mean you can be bad but not that bad.
- Crafting, Armour and Weapons. I liked it in DAI but I didn't like the armour designs (some i did) we need more and if we could tint weapons that would be nice.
- Romance options were greatly improved in this game but it always feels very one sided, I'd like to see more balance between what the hero gives and what they get. Also more moments like Sera's friendly roof time (if your her friend), just being able to hang out with your friends in moments like that is nice.
- Keep the dragons and dragon fights! That was good but give us more flying enemies like giant bugs or birds or something. (not the size of a dragon)
- Its going to seem unpopular but take a leaf out of Mass Effects book. Tagged for Mass effect / DA: origins spoilers

I hope Bioware keeps up with the pattern like DA:O you had a choice of races with said story, then DA 2, you played a human and now DA:I where you were given choice of races to choose.
Keep the pattern going and for the next DA game, it takes place in the Tevinter Imperium. You play as an upstart Magister trying to make his or her way up to the top to even perhaps Archon. You have the entire Imperium to manage during the game and bunch of advisors to help out while fending off Assassins, civil war? Or even participating in the war with the Qun.

I know I am in the minority here, but I would love to see one protagonist work through a series of DA adventures, like TW or ME.
While it is fun to see companions return and other cameos, you don't really get to see any growth, change, maturation, development of characters over the years,
I just want an iconic DA figure - like Shepard or Geralt. Part of the shear joy of playing TW3 as the trilogy comes to an end, was see to see Geralt and his buds and reflect on their growth and change (or lack thereof) over the years. It made Geralt's choices and actions so much more meaningful
Oh well.... I can dream right?

I would like to see it where when my character mounts up, the others in the party also mount their rides and they ride along together. Can't you just see Bull for example on a Nuggalope while Dorian is on a Dracolisk riding to the side of him? Heck you could even have exclusive party banter while riding around for the fun of it.
