Skipping doors, loot rate and dragon items

My friends and I feel like they removed the bonus we used to get for opening chest rooms to our loot rate, is this still implemented?

If so, do you think the loot rate would go down if you skipped doors, like it's a ratio between doors looted and not looted?

And what are these new dragon exclusives & how do you get them?

Thanks.

Instead of being rude, you guys could possibly realize that if someone on here happens to know this, it's as simple matter of:

Person 1: Yep.

Person 2: Yep, can confirm.

Person 3: Yep, can confirm.

Don't you people know how forums work? Stop trying to be such edgy BSN trolls and try to think with your brains instead of your egos.

There have been no comments of changes on the first or second point as of yet by Bioware devs.

So logically I would say no changes, but this is BSN.

I expect wild speculation to ensue.

So you're saying skipping doors is viable?

If the loot rate doesn't cap out then I'd say skipping doors is definitely not viable.

Yeah we don't know about the loot rate, nothing has been said but most people seem to think it has been reduced/nerfed or reset.

As for skipping doors, some people have done research and feel time spent vs gold means you skip them but I can't go along with this line of thinking.  As long as everyone in the team enters the loot room you can clear it out with chest guardian or not in seconds.  It only is a time waster if one or two people take on the room while others forge ahead.

Well, I did my digging, which was ridiculously difficult considering the search engine doesn't work when I try to narrow Luke's posts that mentioned "loot" or "rate"

http://forum.bioware...ests-threshold/

10K chests was the cap. But as Beerfish said, many people feel the absurd amount of purples we were getting has definitely been nerfed.

I also just realized we don't (at least I don't) know if the 10K chests is or isn't retroactive from when it was implemented, like so many of the prestige challenges.

Hopefully Luke does the interface he was planning that tells you what your loot rate is soon.

WOW even if it is retroactive, I have nowhere near even half the max loot rate. God damn.

Actually, if you are someone who can solo doors like I can, it would probably be faster than if all four people do wouldn't it?

I feel like the rooms should all be looted by the time the key drops, then that's time optimal.

nope

if the group is struggling then all enemies and then doors  this means you and the level are a good match

if you can solo the mini bosses then you can probably solo the rest and you might be OP

its called nightmare/heartbreaker bud

I actually just did the math, and you are absolutely insane not to loot every single door you see, because nobody is ever going to reach that 10K chest cap.

It's 10k items looted not chests opened

You guys are lucky there are people like me who are willing to drop $5 when we're happy about something in the MP being added, because platinum is utterly useless!

Much less insane, not more.

10k chests does not equal 10k items.

As you get 8 items per chest, 10k items is 1,250 chests.

It's 2.5m gold spent on the 2k chests, it's reasonable

whatever you do, don't drop money on platinum. It may seem easier to pay money to get into the higher loot tables, but in this game promotions are way more valuable than loot. By doing the promotions you'll gradually end up in those higher tables. Many people here can go in with only starter gear (no accessories) and do way better than I could because of promotions.

I like to drop them a few bucks now and then when I'm happy with something.

Think I spent $3 when the dragon was added, $5 when heartbreaker was added. No big deal just a token of appreciation

And yeah I capped out on loot a LONG time ago

So can we get a retroactive achievement for looting items so we can figure out what loot table we are on?  Have the cap set at each tier.

It does feel a bit like the loot tables have changed since the patch. Probably just bad luck on my part but my 100k dropped following the patch felt substantially lower in return than the time leading up to it since Lukes change to the loot tables a while back.

Nope, not bad luck, something definitly changed.I was getting duplicate dragon weapons, purple accessories, and other top tier loot constantly.....then it went back to crap and low level purple weapons.
