Well DAI was only 3 years after the last piece of DA2 content, and that was with a huge engine transition. So I'd be surprised if DA4 takes longer than 3 years (and 2 years is fairly reasonable, lower than that would sacrifice quality)

Yeah I would think 2-2.5 years. so end 2017 or early 2018.

It was over for me months ago and not happy on how Bioware ended it with me and many others. I guess DAI fiasco just killed lot of my love towards the whole series, Bioware and so on. I'll see if I'll be board of DA4 or not.

Honestly I'm not sure, It's always felt like they didn't know what they wanted to do with DAI because suddenly they had this new engine, new style and a lot more time. I'm glad they have taken on board the critisms the fandom had (PJ's) and I'm glad they included Cullen/Solas romance its weird to think we almost didn't have them. Imagine that!

I like Dragon Age but I only started playing a couple of month before Inquisition came out, so unlike Mass Effect I don't have that nostalgia factor that some people have and I'll admit I'm not attached to this series as a I am to ME. I think I won't know until we get that final DLC and get closure. Its become one of my more favorite franchises though so I will keep up with news.

I was heartbroken with the end of DAO and DA2. DAO because it was the first game that I truly fell in love with, and DA2 because Hawke and co. were the best, and I loved spending time with them together

With DAI, I feel much more satisfied in general. It's not that I think it's a better game, and it's not that I don't love my Inquisitors and the companions (I definitely do). I just feel like the story itself is definitively over and everyone can move on with their pet projects and their own lives, if that's in the cards. And that will be cool.

Less cool is the wait for the next game. I agree that BW will be focusing on MEA and the new IP almost exclusively, but I think it's also likely that DA4 will be a much easier game for them to make due to increased familiarity with the engine and next gen hardware. Still, I could see it being 2018 before we get another DA game- I only hope that we get a couple of books/comics between now and then to make the wait marginally more bearable.

For me it will really depend on what the DLC is like on Tuesday - if it's a really sad ending, that may well end up souring my experience, which would be a shame as I love the game as it is to pieces. If it isn't, though, then I imagine I'll be pretty happy with it.

But yeah, sad to think there'll be no new adventures with my Inquisitor and crew after this.

Well, the anchor is too much powerful, so the inquisitor must die, lose the anchor or abandoning dragon age world (into the veil for example).

DAI was a mixture of disappointment (in the gameplay) and indifference (to the story) for me, so I'm kind of glad they are finishing it up and moving on. I just hope the next one is better.

in most cases, i would agree 100% about getting a full blown expansion pack for DAI, box and all.... aaaaaaaaaahhhh, remember the days, when you had a RPG you loved and you had already played through it 3 or 4 times, then all of a sudden DEV- "BTW, we have an x-pack coming out in 4 months, have fun!!!"

you would be one of two people at your local gamestop to pre-order it, lol... and you would pick up that beautiful box, mayhaps a "tales of the sword coast" or a "Dragon Age: awakening" or "Diablo II: Lord of Destruction", "Warcraft III: Frozen Throne" etc... and of course you would have to sniff the box as soon as you cracked the seal... mmmmm...

but as far as DAI goes, the single map areas are so big, it's almost like a mini X-pack, minus all the cool//usual "bonus" features. you know, maybe we will get one. i really doubt it, but i would LOVE a DAI X-pack.

and while i'm a tad surprised that bioware is essentially done with DAI, i was expecting more MP stuff added to the game as well as campaign. but my hopes for DA4 would be this... if DAI is a combo of DAO 50% and DA2 50%...

i would love DA4 to be 50% DAI and 50% DAO!!!!

i would like to see more of a return to armor and weapons loot like it was in DAO, if they could somehow find the golden zone of the crafting done in DAI to keep iconic looks for your companions while still allowing you to find as much gear and the way the gear tiered system was in DAO, i would be super stoked!!!

it took me a while to enjoy the system in DAI, but now that i do, i would sometimes have nights i would hop on the game to play, and spend 2 hours just in my keep upgrading and crafting gear, only to log off because i ran out of time, lol, BUT STILL HAD TONS OF FUN!!!

anyways, cheers to Bioware, they are truly, hands down, my favorite game developer, and my 2 fave game IPs are Dragon Age and Mass Effect respectively.

It ended for me when I saw that they had no intention of addressing all the PC 'port' problems.

It was one of my best experiences ever and I can't wait to play the epilogue! Once it's all done I plan to start a new game and complete everything I know I missed on my other playthroughs. Game never ends for me. I always find new things!

Upset mostly because the Kirkwall's story feels unfinished and I really wanted to see old companions with the new graphics and see what happened to them after the third act. I also wanted to see Zevran and Sten (Arishok), I figure we'll see Sten in Tresspasser, but I miss some of the old companions.

Mixed opinions.

Glad because the UI is still bad compared to previous games and hoping the PC UI gets more love in the next game, glad because the main story is so short and padded with lots of side content which isnt very good, glad because the combat is influenced by the multiplayer far too much IMO, glad because the MMO style grinding of schematics etc was a very poor choice for a single player game.

But at the same time im dissapointed because i love the world they have built......and REALLY want to know whats happening with the Grey Wardens!

I'm okay with it.

At the moment i'm in the middle of playing DA: Awakening for the first time ever, so i'm too busy with that at the moment to play any DAI DLC.

Trespasser looks like it will give DAI a more satisfying ending. The lack of a proper conclusion was one of my biggest problems with DAI.

So the next time i'm playing DAI, which will probably not be this year, I will download JoH, Descent and Trespasser, and hopefully, DAI will be a better experience because of it.

I started playing DAII Christmas 2014, and it was because of that game I started to like the Dragon Age universe. Now i've played DAII, DAI, and DA:O, in that order, and i'm working on DA:A.

I'm looking forward to ME:A for now, and the ME universe I've been engaged in since 2009, but I have to say, the DA games have their own charm, and i'm definitely going to look forward to DA4, when that comes along. One thing i'm more satisfied with when it comes to the Dragon Age games, is the general execution and the companion interaction. That is really superior to the ME trilogy. Only ME3 is close in terms of companion/squadmate interaction.

DAI is a good game, and I hope that for the next game, Bioware will refine exploration rather than throw it all away. Some people want to go back to only having linear areas, but I don't. There could certainly be more plot-related areas than there was in Inquisition, but I still hope they keep some of the exploration, and work to improve it.

Well, that's all I have to say. As long as there are more DA games coming, I won't be sad. It was far sadder to me when ME3 ended with the Citadel DLC, since that was the end of an entire trilogy.

Now, back to playing Awakening, and then conclude my Warden's story with Golems and then Wich Hunt. I look forward to import my world state into DAII and DAI, rather than have a pre-defined world state as I had the last time I played DAII. This will most likely be my canon world state when DA4 comes along, if I live to see the day.

Yeah this. The engine took probably a year and a half to get right (still has issues though.). I'd assume the next game would take around 3 years max.

Disappointing because of a few bugs still unresolved, but the one thing I miss is the old sell/buy dupe glitch for rare mats. Other than that I'm guess I'm happy development for new content is done.

I feel alright. It was a good game, far better than I feared after that ME3-debacle...could have been better of course, with a tighter grip on the story and especially the end-boss etc...

I feel a bit sad though that now the far better Dragon Age Universe will take a backseat while Mass Fail takes the spotlight, but I hope it doesn't take too long until a DA4 comes out that doesn't try to copy Bethesda (or, for DA4 tries to copy CDRED...), but instead tries to copy early Bioware...

Well I was generally disappointed with DA:i and though it definitely has good parts, I hate the combat and "exploration" with a passion so until the new DLC was announced I hadn't touched it since December. The DLC looks like the kind of thing I like so I've been trying to finish the game with all my abandoned characters so I can play through Trespasser multiple times with different characters/scenarios/love interests if it ends up being good. After that I don't see myself playing DA:I again. I'm not too broken up about no more DLC.

It was a mediocre game with maybe 10 hours of above mediocre content. Do I regret spending 60€ on it? Let's just say that Bioware is lucky that there are very few story-driven AAA rpg's.
