I guess I'm a hater, in the sense that I am highly critical of DAI and make no bones about the fact that I didn't enjoy it much at all, but this is honestly the first Bioware game I have played that really didn't agree with me. I enjoyed DA2, for all it's faults, and played it multiple times, and I liked ME3 and thought the ending, even if it was a bit of an a$$ pull, was ballsy. DAI on the other hand, was just boring. I never had fun playing it and I was just glad when it was over. Bioware has never bored me before, but they sure did this time around.
It's fine if it's your personal opinion, you didn't enjoy it, and that sucks. But that's also life. The people I don't like are the ones who are constantly stating that it is a 'fact' that Inquisition 'failed' and is Bioware's worst game ever. You can dislike something, but you can't say that your opinion is the only right one.
Which you didn't, so I wouldn't call you a hater.

Now that DA:I is done I feel that I can't wait to play the next DA-related game.
I do wonder, however, about what sort of threat to Thedas they could come up with for the next game. We've seen the Blight (Origins), we've seen a more localized threat to one city and its surroundings (DA2), and then it just blew up to continental scale in Inquisition. What ELSE could once more threaten Thedas? The Qun(ari) ? I supose that'd be a possibility... but I'm not sure if I'd be happy with a whole DA game in which maybe 80%+ of yours enemies consist of angry Qunari soldiers (and frankly I've had my fare share of Qunari ever since I played DA2). Although I admit in such a story we might actually go to the Tevinter Imperium, and that could be very interesting. I do have the feeling that they'll never re-do a Blight story though, because honestly Origins did that perfectly (honestly, Origins is one mountain of an epic story, and game too, especially with all the DLCs included).
In my opinion, the next DA game should be smaller in scale (not necessarily in length), with more focus on companion story(ies) (similar to Origins' or ME1's default companions team size for example) and main story arc quests (and developments via scripted scenes for a higher cinematic feel similar to Mass Effect 2's approach). I mean DA:I was fun, it's a very solid game, it has its issues of course (some of which really shouldn't have been there, such as the interface on the PC version, that one just hurts my brain when I [try to] navigate through it) but generally-speaking it was a good ride. I'll definitely buy Tresspasser (but I've skipped the two others, not interested by them right now) for the sake of seeing the main story's continuation. But once I'm done with the DLC I'll certainly keep thinking about the possibilities for the next DA game for the coming years until BioWare themselves reveal something, anything about it.
So, overall, now that DA:I is done I say Bring It On baby, bring me the next DA game, BioWare. But, please, do take your time to make it, and if EA wants it ou earlier just give them the finger on my behalf (if anything).

I feel sad, because DA:I was my first ever Bioware game, and right after I finished playing it I bought DA:O, DAII, the Mass Effect Trilogy and all DLC. So I don't have the nostalgia associated with those, which means my Inquisitor is the character I am most emotionally attached too. I fear the void that will be left after tomorrow
Starting on the third game of the series, that's a bit odd. Must have been confusing as hell.
DAI was good not great imo, still feel Origins was the best of the series.
As for joining BSN not sure if I should say welcome or run tbh. ![]()
To answer OP's question eh, don't have any strong feelings about it ending. The whole Mass Effect Shepard saga/ forum meltdown left a bigger impact on me.

Well I didn't really even know that it was the third, I just knew it was a game I needed to play. Must have been the name, cause I love dragons. Funny cause when I started it and it took me to CC I was like "oh, awesome!" haha. Now that I think about it, I really don't know why I felt like I HAD to have it. Must be fate ![]()
It was a little confusing but not too bad. But then I played the first two and it was a bit like OHH so THAT'S what a mage circle is...

Bioware... oh Bioware...
DAO, amazing, ends with Witch Hunt, a piece of crap
DA2, regular, ends with Mark of Assassin, good, but had Legacy, great
DAI, awful, ends with Trespasser, the most amazing godlike mastercraft they ever made!
Can't wait a single month for DA4, and it will probably take 4 years...
How do I feel about it ending? LEARN TO BALANCE MAIN GAME AND DLC QUALITY!
In three games not once did you balace it well.

While it may sound like hyperbole, I've enjoyed DAI less than any other Bioware game I've played to date. To me, it was a failure in a creative sense and in a technical sense.
Personally, I can't defend DAI even one bit, and I've defended DA2 and ME3, both of which I found had potential, but were flawed. DAI, however, is some sort of Frankenstein cobbled together to appeal to nine or ten different groups, and it just winds up feeling sort of bland. Then there's the port. Dear sweet God, the port.
Did it sell well? Yes. Did with a lot of awards? That's great. Wooo. Congratulations. I'm happy for them.
But as a customer, I can't help but feel disappointed to the highest degree. If it was just in a creative sense I could possibly tolerate it, but BIoware's done everything possible to alienate people like me. Treating the last-gen customers as blatant inferiors won't have any repercussions in the long run, but I can surely hope that people in the future will vote with their wallet.
I will.

I think claims of DAI's failure are baseless. The game sold decently well (from what we know), won numerous awards (for what that's worth), and was generally well received. That doesn't seem like failure to me. Even though I personally dislike the game a lot, I can still appreciate a lot of positive qualities about it, and I can see why others might like it. Despite the fact that I "hate" it, I still think it's a pretty good game; I just don't think it's a great game, or as good as some of their past games. Does that make sense? It's fine if it's your personal opinion, you didn't enjoy it, and that sucks. But that's also life. Yeah, many of the mistakes made in the base game were corrected here I feel.I take back what I said before, after playing this DLC I don't want DA:I to end, I want to play the inquisitor again and continue on T_T y u do dis 2 me biowaer?
Exploration is worth while in the DLC as we get unique gear or fade touched mats instead of say a raider great sword or something equally useless.
Even some of the choices we made in the base game seem to have had consequences in this. Kind of anyway.
Hopefully they can take the positives from this on board for the next one.
I'm playing the Dlc as an elf and am enjoying the racial references as well when they come up. Playing through as a Qunari should be interesting as well.

How do I feel? Well, I came out of the DLC squealing and crying. (It was happy squealing and crying. Mostly.) And I really want to start a whole new run even though I only recently finished one and my world states have to last me until DA4 comes out. And I really want DA4 right now.
I have also finally stopped dithering: Inquisition is my favourite Dragon Age game so far. Not that I love the previous instalments any less, but Trespasser is a much better ending than either of them got. (Unless you do the ultimate sacrifice in DAO, in which case your Warden gets a satisfying conclusion, but an Orlesian substitute who have very little to do with the plot is roped in to do the expansion and DLC and meet a certain witch that they have no personal connection to.)

Not that I've seen the DLC I cannot wait for DA4 to come out. I really, really want to continue this story. What's Solas going to do? Will there actually be the ability to talk him down rather than just fight him? What's up with the Qunari (so many questions about them)?
The dlc also gives great hope for the future. If DA4 is on par with Trespasser then we are in for a game that might finally top DAO as the best DA game (my opinion of course).
I am kinda mixed about how they ended DAI though, because the Inquisitor's story is obviously far from done. In DAO we finished the Wardens story (he stopped the blight, he could relax after that with Leli, or he died, etc) and DAA didn't really leave the ending any more ambiguous. Witch Hunt kinda left it a little more open, but that was mostly Morrigan rather than the Warden who's story was unfinished. DA2 left Hawke's story completely open, which sucked, but at least DAI wrapped up some of it. DAI's original ending was pretty similar to DAOs, it is clear the Inquisitor's story (that we had been involved in) was done. There were more stories in the future, but the story of Corypheus and the Inquisition was over. Trespasser added a direct link to DA4, leaving the story more open, which is good from a hype perspective, but kinda annoying from a 'I have to wait 4 years to find out what happens to my inquisitor' stand point.
Anyway, best DLC yet Bioware! Keep this up and I will love you unconditionally again!

im so jealous of you. i wish i could erase my memory and replay the ME trilogy for the first time.
On topic: essentially nothing. It won't be the last Dragon Age game, and it seems soon we'll be getting a BioWare game every year, so I'd always rather look forward than back.
I'm sure I'll shed some tears once I play Trespasser, though.
My thoughts exactly. ME and the three color picks totally killed it.
This game was fun.
I hope they add a creation kit.

They don't seem to have made any changes to animations or models in any of the patches post release. The arms on the elf models, and their general rigging overall are still terrible, and that hasn't been fixed despite endless complaints. I wouldn't be surprised if the art team have all been either working on the DLC or have been retasked to ME:A and the new IP, so don't hold your breath for animation fixes.

In short? Sad. Expectant. Hopeful. Terrified.
I am so sad to say goodbye to the Inquisitor and the crew. I know there were discussions on these forums about how the Inquisitor is actually Plank (ask your parents), and, well, some of the issues I found to be not entirely without merits, but on the overall, I think the Inquisitor may be my favorite protagonist in the series; after Trespasser, this is the most invested I have been in a PC, barring only Shepard. Not to mention the phenomenal cast of characters brought this time around. I will really miss Skyhold - that place really felt like home. Sigh. I had some really good times with this game, and although the fact that it is "over" is not in any way, shape, or form going to affect the fact that I still actually do own the game and may fire it up any time I please, there is a sense of finality to all this. I will miss you, Inquisition. I will miss you quite a lot.
I am expectant because now the team can focus on making a new DA game and bring us something new in the future. Sure, it will be a wait (such a long wait), but I am excited to see where the series is going to go next. Yeah, yeah, I know DA:Next has not officially been given a go-ahead yet, but give me this. Believing anything else...yeah. No.
I am hopeful, because now that the team has the new engine down and has gathered feedback from all over, they will improve upon the parts of it that were lacking and perfect those that worked once the next game rolls around. I think we all constructively criticized, shouted and screamed loud enough that they are quite aware of the most glaring of shortcomings the Inquisition had. They have proven they are not above admitting an oversight and remedying it by giving us the wardrobe (no, seriously, thank you SO MUCH for the gods-damned wardrobe), and I have every confidence this approach will continue onwards, across the development of the next game and that they will finally give us that DA:O/Witcher hybrid that we all really want.
I am terrified, because - OH GODS ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE ME CHOOSE IF HAWKE SHOULD DIE PLEASE DONT EVER MAKE ME CHOOSE IF SOMEONE LIKE HAWKE SHOULD DIE. These people get their powers from our tears.

Sad, depreessed that the journey is over, but ridiculiously opptomistic about the future. DA I ended on such a ridiculously high note for me, such a masterful example of storytelling and handing off the baton for the next chapter of this story while also putting the finishing touches on the old one, that it was just amazing. The Inquisition and Tresspasser DLC changed a lot for me as a gamer and as a person and it really put things into perspective, and put a new spin on things. The only cause I have to be worried...because of my feelings on the vanilla ending of ME 3...and some of the stuff that happened in ME 3...I was approaching Inquisition somewhat reserved. I was excited. I was hyped. But there was always a little bit of me that was like "ME 3 looked really amaing too" "Yeah but it was a good game" "Yeah but it wasn't an amazing game". So yeah, my expectations for the next game are through the roof. Don't let me down!

Loved the game overall despite the rough bits and got a satisfying ending (for me and my Inquisitor's LI) in Trespasser, so I'm good with this being the end for now. Just hope they do a better job with side quests in the future and make them more fulfilling; things like the haunted chateau in the Emerald Graves work as is, but there was a lot of stuff that did consist of semi-boring fetching, etc.
That aside, I did enjoy the environmental puzzles (such as they were) in the DLC. Wouldn't mind a bit more of that in the next game (also, please add card games and/or chess - I want to finally be able to play Wicked Grace, thanks).

I feel...relief.
For me, finishing the game was so much drag that i left, i think, two maps unexplored.
The only thing that made me "drop a tear or two" was the segment after leaving Haven and getting to Skyhold, and that's it.
The game just made me realize how superior DA2 was (something i never thought i'd say), excluding map design ofc.
So yeah, it's the first BW game that left me feeling this way, whereas their other games left me thinking about them days even weeks after finishing them.
To each their own, i guess,
